Went to the game and the place looked great. Too bad 500+ million dollars still didn't solve long concession wait times. Horribly executed tonight. Ran out of popcorn and nachos, the concession outside my section had 4 cash registers but only opened 2. I missed the entire 2nd quarter from start to finish lining up for 2 drinks + food. Oh wells at least we won!

One girl tried to give this customer a beer that was 3/4 head. All of them wasted so much beer by dumping out the beer and trying again.
As for the building, the concourse was sorta meh but once you get to the seating area, it was amazing.

Honestly the look of the new BC place from a TV perspective looked like a joke, the field level/in game shots looked basically the same as old BC place
And for 500 million your telling me they couldn't put the big full sized screens on all 4 sides of the scoreboard?
TSN did the new place no favours with their coverage, besides the roof everything else looked pretty average Posted via RS Mobile | |

the screens did look amazing in person but ya it was weird how they didn't keep all 4 screens the same size or at least utilize the area below the smaller screens. the concessions were a joke. if i am gonna line up for 30 minutes for a 10.50 beer at least let me fucking buy 2!

The sizes on a lot of things were also mini too. The size of the nachos were a joke they were not you standard size at sporting events in the black plastic tray with cheese such as Rogers Arena etc.

I was flipping through channels on the tube and came across the news. They were talking about all the fails at BC Place. One of them said, "So, not enough beer, but lots of whine!" LOL.

@CKNW It looks like some fans weren't the only ones unhappy with BC Place on Fri night as a number of food serving staff haven't shown up today
@News1130radio About 20 per cent of the workers who were supposed to serve food at BC Place on Friday didn't show up for work.

Sounds like, other than running out of mini donuts, concessions were working smoothly for the Whitecaps game today.
