LOL... ull probably be close to retarded with no carbs after 2 weeks, better off doing carb cycling.

Heres a simple NO CARB diet plan, you will need atleast 5-6 meals a day.

meal 1
6-7 egg whites
1 scoop oatmeal + low fat yogurt
1 apple
(its ok to eat carbs in the morning since that will be the energy u will use for the rest of the day)

meal 2
chicken breast
spinich

meal 3
protein shake

meal 4
canned tuna
romaine lettuce

meal 5
chicken breast
broccoli
mushroom

meal 6
low fat cottage cheese or protein shake

Your gonna need multi vitamin, fish oil + CLA and chug lots green tea for maximum fat lost but then again after losing all those fat your gonna have excess skin to deal with.

When people are 'cutting carbs,' pretty much refers to anything with a high GI, which are commonly potatoes, rice and pasta and bread.

If you take stuff like carrots, and other hearty veggies, sure they are considered 'carbs,' but when I started doing my weight loss plan, i went buck wild on the veggies.

Pretty much, my I only took in 'carbs' before 2pm. But you definitely want stuff like bread early in the morning to hold you over.

But yeah, the post previous to mine are perfect examples.
Get creative!! Falaffel wraps are good too!! I enjoy making bbq chicken pizzas made whole wheat wraps for dinner. Kraft Sizzling salads have good dinner alternatives too. Teppanyaki chicken with the veggies served with brown rice is a fave!

Go to Safeway or Costco, get their big 4kg box of chicken breast...its a good value and it will last you a long time.

ya more the colorful your meal is the better it is for you

Maybe because the notion of 6 meals a day is silly?

@RayBot: The 4kg box isn't actually that cheap. You're actually better off buying it for $3.99/lb fresh vs the $2.99/lb frozen (when it's on sale) on a $/gram of protein basis. That and the salt injected shit just tastes bad and cooks weirdly.

I just bought that box, tastes pretty good! Also got some raw almonds, pack of sockeye salmon and crap load of salad mix. Got some omega 3-6-9 going. Got Vector cereal for breakfasts lolol

Now thinking of protein shakes for post workout sessions.

Do you bodybuild and do you compete? If not, stay out of this thread...
"the notion of 6 meals a day is silly?" - already made you look like a clown

You probably dont even know the reason why you need high protein intake and eat 6 small meals anyways....

Heres a good post workout meal i usually make and not something i pulled out my ass

1 cup of rice
5 oz chicken breast diced
2.5 oz cucumber diced
1/4 t seasame seed
1 t green onion
2floz chili chicken sauce

(will post pics in a few days when i make it)

Armind 06-21-2011 10:12 PM

^ I like the sounds of that, post post!

RRxtar 06-21-2011 10:22 PM

i recently went to a lower carb diet. not no carb but just lower. the main thing i did was remove breads/wraps and pasta from my diet. the breads and wraps alone amounted to 175g of carbs per day. I replaced the pasta with long grain wild rice.

I cant go no carb due to a fairly labor intensive job and long hours but I mainly only eat carbs for breakfast and for dinner which is my pre workout meal too

my lunches are a big ass salad that i split into 2 meals in a tupperware:
a ton of dark romaine lettuce
two large chicken breasts
1/2 large red pepper
1/2 large orange pepper
1/3rd long english cucumber
sometimes carrots
cheese
and some pepercorn ranch dressing

absolutely delicious and full of veggies and about 50g protein in the chicken and cheese.

Oh please do educate me wise one.

Is it because I need to keep my metabolism revving up?

Oh wait, turns out, meal frequency doesn't do shit for that!

More importantly, studies using whole-body calorimetry and doubly-labelled water to assess total 24 h energy expenditure find no difference between nibbling and gorging.
Is it because I might go into STARVATION MODE and my body will lower its metabolism so that I won't lose fat?

Oh looky, turns out that your metabolism actually goes up in the short term.

Resting energy expenditure increases in early starvation, accompanied by an increase in plasma norepinephrine.
Maybe if I don't eat 6 meals a day, all that protein I eat will go to WASTE

Perhaps you were thinking of this study?

NEWS FLASH! People don't eat just whey in a fasted state!

If you ate a huge 32 oz steak in one meal, it would not pass through your system in 3-4 hrs. It'd take closer to 24 which SURPRISE would keep your body anabolic.

Do you body build and do you compete?

Oh you don't? I didn't think so. GO BROSCIENCE!

RRxtar 06-22-2011 03:49 PM

DaFonz must eat 6000 calories in one meal once per day, squats 600lbs have 4% BF.
