Modernist Cuisine - The Art and Science of Cooking

For all you chefs, cooks and food lovers, you might want to check out this new approach in cook book guides that was recently featured in a CTV news cast. The price is pretty steep and the first batch of prints have already sold out.

No kidding. Daddy needs a bread knife, a filet knife, and a boning knife. So poor

I can't justify the price either but there are some on Amazon going for around $450. It's only worth $650 for the book that maybe included a complete DVD tutorial series and some culinary utensil freebies.

I know this sounds like a lot, but I know chefs who do spend a few hundred dollars a pop on classic french cook books and things. I don't think that's justifiable for a lay person unless you're a real foodie but it's not that uncommon in the industry.
