question guys, how can i tell if the 4s is factory unlocked? I'm selling mine or trading for a unlocked 4s...
Someone told me all iPhone's sold in Canada are factory unlocked...Idk
And that once the first simcard gets inserted will lock it to that provider...sounds weird to me.

the only true fully unlocked iphones is the ones you buy from apple at full price.

this is how it works when you are buying it through a carrier with a subsidy. if you buy the phone directly from apple at the outright cost($650), it will be unlocked and will stay that way..
no what he meant is that unlock phones comes directly from apple unsubsidize ONLY. make no difference whether the phone is sealed or not nor would you be able to tell if you are buying second hand whether it is locked or not unless the seller has a receipt. Only sure way to know if to bring sim card from multiple carrier to try it out.
I don't know how this happened but I just hit 100% of my 500mb data on my 1st full month with the iphone 4S with 3 days left until the next bill cycle....

You sending and receiving alot of emails with photos?
If not that would be a ton of emails!
Is there a setting that makes the phone or light flash continuous if you missed an email/text/phone call? Hate pressing the button to see if i missed something.

I guess? I get quite a bit of spam daily from futureshop/bestbuy and such...
It was never a problem with the BB, never went over a 100mb..
Guess it's time to unsubscribe or block these spams lol
I've been getting phantom text messages on ios5.0 lol
get notification sound and vibrate for a text message, but there wouldn't be any. And yes, I've checked other applications and none of them have anything new for me.

iOS rocks... I'm on 5.0.1 on a 4S, no battery issues. iOS 5 even ran okay on my 3GS.
@ikkaku, mine is set to vibe and beep when receiving new mail, but I turned off notices on the lock screen. Could this be your setup too? Also I downloaded the new Gmail app and was getting vibes and beeps but didnt see any new notices/badges, in the end the gmail app was the culprit, I uninstalled and it went back to normal. Nope, I believe emails have their own separate tone, and it somehow stopped working after a few days. I have never updated to the new gmail application.
I have FB/Twitter/Whatsapp/Textplus/Google+/Liveprofiles and none of them received any messages either. It's only been happening these past 2 weeks or so.

How do I get rid of the red notification for my voice mail? It's annoying as f, i didnt even know i had voice mail so i called into fido and told them to cancel it. But the notification is still there.
Before cancelling i tried setting up my voice mail but it didnt work so i just cancelled it.
