Greek Summerfest 2011 (East Van)

Mmmmmm. It's that time of year when I can smell the wonderful aroma of Greek food throughout my neighbourhood!

The Greek Orthodox Community of East Vancouver BC proudly presents Greek Summer Festival 2011

My favourite is the Lamb Dinner with Tyropita on the side finished off with some honey dipped Loukoumades

I might try the new Greek Fries this year.

The best thing is that it's run by volunteers and proceeds go back into the community.

are you greek or a volunteer?

Support my Community!

The food is alot better from last year, and the prices are better. They changed alot of things, and I'm glad, it was going downhill.

Do they serve food every day the festival is open? Sorry, never been to one of these before.

What's the selection like? Are there take-out boxes, or do I have to eat there? What's it cost approx.?

Edit: nm, I see a list on their site.

the big thing you are supporting the community and the atmosphere is just awesome. A lot of the time the food is really really good but it of course always depends on the time you go.
