Nova and Apex launcher require at least ICS.

If you don't have ICS yet try Holo Launcher.

I just got the Sony Xperia Ion last week, and was wondering if anyone else on here has it. If so, any suggestions for certain apps that I should have?

^ this. There's no excuse for still running gb. The Galaxy Nexus is on sale at Mobilicity for $299 now. That is a steal. Get that instead.

Personally, I don't mind too much since I am still an iphone user. Just came across a great deal on the xperia, and wanted to try out how the androids are like. Shit, I wasn't even aware of the difference between ICS and GB, until I started readin about it last night.

But thanks for the heads up!

Why is it that whatsapp is 99 cents for lifetime with iOS but 99 cents per year with android?
It's not much but discrepancy irks me a bit.

Whatsapp is actually free on Android. It starts off as a free trial and then it just keeps getting extended. I've never paid for it in the years I've been using it.

That game was never designed to run on a phone. The only way you'll get it to work is to grab a hacked copy which we will not post here.

For people who are sticking with ICS should really get Google Now. I don't really use the cards all that much but I find that I use voice search and voice typing A LOT more now that voice recognition has really improved. Thing I like about it is that it displays the words as you speak instead of the whole sentence at once. It's really great for English and works perfectly for Cantonese. What I've done is set it to just Cantonese since it recognizes English at the same time. If you enable both languages it gets too messy switching between them.

I've tried this on a i747/i717 but should work on any device.

Well if you're on the computer you can get BrowserTexting or MightyText. MightyText should work fine on your tablet too.
