I think speed dating (like e harmony and more serious matchmaker sites) generally yields better results when you're in your late 20's and 30s. Mostly because by that point in life you have a few good stories you can pull out quickly to use, and, more importantly, there's a more relaxed confidence that typically comes with age that tends to be more conducive to these sorts of things.
Go armed with some answers to standard kinds of questions, and with some quips and interesting stories to add to the mix. Make sure you have a few. You don't want the girls hearing you repeat the same answers to other people. Make sure you're armed with some questions and conversation starters as well (I always try and have some random questions that aren't typical for these sorts of things, this tends to lead to laughter and puts people at ease). But most important, you have to kill all the player, fake in your face confidence and just be comfortable with yourself. Make eye contact (you would be shocked how many people can't do this), and be comfortable just talking to someone.
That said, it's tons of fun, you can go with friends (in fact, I recommend you do) and it's interesting to experience if nothing else to satisfy your inner sociologist and get to watch dating be stripped down to it's most basic form.

They had speed dating at Kwantlen once not sure how it worked out though and not sure if they are going to do it again
Once the Fall semester starts that might be an option for some for looking for a younger group of girls/guys
This was the article from last year: http://www.kwantlenchronicle.ca/2010...g-at-kwantlen/ |

I dunno. Going to Kwantlen for one of these events seems rather creepy. Unless you're still in university or recent grad. Posted via RS Mobile |
