I just realized how ridiculous it is that I have never played Diablo 1 or 2. And I LOVE dungeon crawling games! I'll definitely be playing this one.

^^ you should definitely start, Diablo 1 isn't very difficult to beat and its hella fun. The D3 storyline will make more sense too, hopefully.

if you get d2 you can level up pretty easily by joining bot games, but you'd enjoy it more by playing it out right. if you cant join actual public games then you can still enjoy it alone, though it was really fun back i the day when you're playing with 7 other people. that's one of the things i liked about d2 over d1, oh and the fact that you can actually run LOL
but d1 is IMO more fun b/c of the lighting, setting, and music. it was darker and scarier. they definately set the tone amazingly in d1. but dam joining pugs and friendly fire LOL

If you haven't opted in for diablo 3 beta testing, you should do it now. Opting in requires a full version of a blizzard entertainment game registered in your battle.net account. Check your beta profile settings, and you'll be prompted to download either a windows or mac client to scan your computer and run through the specs, which then must be submitted to blizzard. The beta phase keys are completely random, and are based mainly on computer specs, as blizzard did say they want to a variety of platforms and specs test out the game. The beta will most likely run through until launch, as early as q4 of this year or q1 of next. Invites should be going out as early as next week (don't quote me on this, heard from a friend.. Still need to check the source). Hopefully I get a key, I got into all the wow betas

I have my laptop specs on my account since my laptop processor is unique  in my head I think that they chose me for sc2 beta because of it...so hopefully I get one for d3!
