Blizzards real cash auction won't stop the farmers, but it will force them to do things differently (and take a little extra effort). Blizzard can also track transactions for each battle.net account which will make it much easier for them to spot abuse.
Plus, with millions of legitimate users also selling items for cash, they will now have competition.

So I'm thinking this was about the time the SC2 beta came out and then it was released the same year in November? or am I mistaken?
Is it wrong to be hopeful for a 2011 release now that the beta has been announced?

Nothing but hardcore for me. Losing a level 92 sorc in classic (non expac) D2 was painful. No BO tele in the Hell CS with a lightning sorc, lol.
