MySpace = Tom Anderson

TOMS Shoes = Blake Mycoskie

I would stay away from TOMS, their aid model will ultimately not work. More info:

Haha ok then, I just hate it when people buy TOMS so they can say they're "helping the cause". BS, admit that you only bought them because they look nice and are the new trendy item.

If you really wanted to help, instead of paying $40 for 2 shoes. Goto https://www.soles4souls.org/cgi-bin/donation.cgi and every $1 you donate gives them 1 shoe. $40 = 40 shoes.

Better yet goto soleRebels Footwear: Fair Trade Shoes & Sandals | Hand Made in Ethiopia and buy their shoes. It will support their emerging economy, provide jobs, and allow them to actually start making money instead taking handouts. Yes they are no where near as nice and trendy as TOMS, but your money supports their economy.

Furthermore, TOMS factories are in Argentina, China and Ethiopia. 2/3 of his factories won't even support that actual economy that needs help. The shoes are peanuts to make in Argentina.

Now they're doing glasses and all the wannabe samaritans and hipsters are gonna be all over this shit thinking they're going to give some poor kid in Africa the gift of sight. Meanwhile, the economy stays stagnant, never able to take off and fend for itself, and the shareholders at TOMS reap in all profits. God damn

Sorry end rant, TOMS shoes gets me really worked up.
