The Surrey Guilford one is my favourite. The last time I went, they were renovating, so half the store was closed down. I imagine it's done by now.

I have always been able to use the 10 bucks off card, on top of the discount.

At the last 20% off sale, I was looking for steel toe shoes (Guilford location). Found ones that were reduced. Sign said 40% off. Cool. I ask the lady to check the price and it was even lower than what the signage indicated. I then got 20% off on top of that and even got to use my $10.00 off card. The pair cost me like under 40 bucks taxes included.

It's Baaaaaaack.............

$20.00 Holiday Bonus card when you purchase 100 dollars worth of gift cards

From Nov 13 to 18th only!

Bonus cards are good from December 1st till January 31st.

I have a feeling they are going to sell out quicker than they did last year. I'm not going to leave it till the last day like the previous year.

So like last year you buy the $100 and can use the $120 right away? Forgot if that worked or not

You asked hte same question last year and it took the rest of RS 8 pages to explain it to you, LOL........... j/k

The bonus card is only good for the two months. The gift cards are forever and can be used ASAP. The offer to get the free bonus cards expires on the 18th. So deal is from today until next Manday.

Those 20 dollar bonus cards are going to be awesome during their boxing week sale. Give like a boss and get a little bonus for yourself. Now if only McDonalds starts their gift card promo, my pre XMas shopping season will be complete, LOLOLOLOLOL.

I think the loneliest Marks location is the one on 264th and Fraser Highway (Aldergrove). Hardly anything there, except a couple of cute chicks at the counter............. at least the last time I went after crossing back into Canada via the Aldergrove crossing.

OK, I've received some pm's about the bonus card offer. Here it is again. I don't know how much clearer I can be. My wife often tells me I have a knack for confusing the hell out of people. Perhaps she's right...........

K, the 20 dollars bonus card is only good for two months. Two months, as in, after December 1st of this year and before January 31st of 2014. That's it. You cannot use them before December 1st or after the 31st of January. That's two months window of opportunity to use the free 20 bucks. Nobody is going to give you 20 dollars for free without some kind of limitation, right?

If you shop at Marks often, this is a pretty good deal. Just don't be a numbnut and forget to use the bonus card within the two month time frame.

As for the gift cards you bought to get the "BONUS" card, you can use those any time you want. They are "Gift" cards - good as money. You can use them 1 nanosecond after they are paid for and given to you.

If you want to use both cards at once, you have to wait until the 1st of December when the bonus card becomes active. You also only have until the 31st of January to use them. That's when the bonus card expires.

Just remember........... this offer is only good until the 18th of this month. After that date, a 100 dollar gift card will cost you 100 dollars and all you'll get is a smile from the cashier or a wham bam thank you mamm.....

OK, here's another way to explain it. I'll use food as an example. McDonald's, last year, had this deal where if you bought a 10 dolla gift card, you receive a voucher for a free Big Mac. nvm......... this is where I start confusing people, LOL. Better quit now before I start to confuse myself.

Reading comprehension is a bitch on the interwebs.............

That's a pretty good deal, but I always think giving gift cards isn't exactly all that great a gift to give...

^depends how you look at it. I love getting gift cards, because I can get whatever the hell I want. Now it depends on the card. If I got a gift card to let's say Target, I'd be a little disappointed, but if I got a gift card to Lee Valley Tools, I'd be like so happy.

I purchased 300 bucks worth and then realized I screwed up.........If I had purchased them separately 100x3, I could have used the receipts to get their 10 dollars off $40 purchase code.

It's on the back of the receipt. You log into their survey site and answer the questions. You get the code via e-mail. You take in receipt within 14 days of original purchase date with code and bam, you get 10 bucks off. The code is the same for everybody. Anyone got the code, so I don't have to take the lousy survey? LOLOLOLOL.

It's slightly better than their 10 bucks off card, because with the card you have to buy 50 bucks worth.

Anyway..........

Damn, wish I had seen this earlier. Need to pick up some winter gear.

Oh well, I've got a permanent 10-15% off discount with them, anyway.

How are they on Boxing day? I'm starting work up in the oil fields in January and planning on dropping a pretty penny at Marks before I go. Which locations are the "best" in the lower mainland?

I think the Langley store is probably one of if not the best, seems like they have the most stuff

If your gonna be dropping big $$$ please go with all carhart over Dakota etc, worked in construction long enough to know that even though carhart is typically 25-40% more than the comparable product from Dakota the quality isn't even close

Think I'll be trying timberland next

Someone once told me that the Langley location is this district's flagship store, and I believe it. It's always had the widest selection of clothing, and had far more construction style work clothes than any other location I've ever been in.

My town has a tiny ass Mark's inside a Canadian Tire.

I've gone through two pairs of Dakota work shoes in the past year. Admittedly I bought the mesh style brand as I like having a bit of breathing, but it's still got the composite toe and sole protection. Those work very well, I've learned from personal experience It's just too bad the rest of the shoe falls apart at the very suggestion of rough work.
