Province rejects $35-M proposal to rename BC Place
Jobs and Tourism Minister says name is 'iconic'
Jesse Johnston Mar 07, 2012 15:24:55 PM

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - BC Place Stadium isn't getting a new name.

The province has rejected a $35-million naming rights deal with Telus.

Jobs and Tourism Minister Pat Bell says people like the name as it is.

"We finally have come to the conclusion that the importance of that iconic name, BC Place, outweighs any value that we would get associated with it."

Telus says it's disappointed with the government's decision but is still working on a deal to install equipment in the stadium.

stargazers: if you look up around this time for the last few days, you can see mars right near the moon. its red and you cant miss it. if you look to the west (opposite of the moon), you can see a bright light, that is venus. next to it you'll see jupiter which appears a bit smaller yet still very bright.

Here's a random thought that I would like to post in here, how do I find the history of past Lotto 6/49 Winning numbers?... it just piqued my interest to know if the same 6 numbers I usually pick have actually won before (how many times and the jackpot amount would be nice too) in the history of the game in Canada.
Duh, I know it's completely unpredictable and I'm not superstitious (well not really) but hey I'm bored

Nissan loves the Juke too much

First the GTR engine in the Juke....and now a Nismo line:
Juke to be the first of a series of Nismo models from Nissan

That's pretty cool, but I don't feel like sifting through thousands of number combinations to see if there ever was the winning combination of my numbers lol ...

Crazy! Kind of neat due to the GTR engine but I still don't really like the design of this car. However, These seats look pretty nice...

And this photo turned out really well. Not say the car looks awesome, just the overall framing, exposure and lighting.

I think the car wouldn't look as bad if they removed the headlights that are right above the fenders and maybe change the rear end but I'm not automotive design expert so what do I know hah. I still don't like the design of this car. haha

It does remind me of a jukebox. I'll give it that, but to each their own.

It ain't "jukin" for me......... LOL

xcept, I did see a rather hot looking MILF driving one down the number one this afternoon. Now she could juke me all night.
