How does the machine know which way the tiles are facing when it's rebuilding?
Do they have magnets inside or something?

VrrM604 09-13-2011 09:51 AM

i wonder how long it takes to wash/shuffle the tiles and build it up. I would think it would be kind of annoying from all the noise and vibrations from it moving when you're currently playing a round

my buddy has one at home. you have to play with the specific tiles that came with the table, because they do have magnets inside. you can't play with any other tiles otherwise it gets jammed.

BaBiE_Bee 09-13-2011 10:27 AM

This link shows them finishing a round and then the tables mixes/ builds the tiles; even " rolls" the dice for you, takes like less than a min and then you're good to go.

Edit: Sorry, it just didn't seem like it took that long... =(

NSX 09-13-2011 10:43 AM

^ It did not finish in less than 1 minute....

CRS 09-13-2011 10:45 AM

Isn't MJ played with 3 dice when dealing instead of 2?

White people.
:fuckthatshit:

Half the fun of MJ is taking that time to rage at each other at the end of the game while rebuilding. No way they are taking the trash talking out of the game for me.

buddy 09-13-2011 12:09 PM

^ I am with you, the shuffle time is there for a lot of reasons ..

trash talk, bitch about how close the last hand was, light a smoke while rolling a fatty, quick pee, rip open new bag of Carbee, grab fresh and cold Vita lemon tea from fridge, change TV channel even no one's watching ...

I been playin Mahjong for a long time. 30 sec to shuffle, 30sec to build

a bit faster when playing TW mj cuz of the "stick"

plus i would never buy these tables...my MJ table serves as a dinner table as well.

Tim Budong 09-13-2011 02:06 PM

someone host TW MJ for RS
i can't stand HongKongStyle MJ

i converted GrandmasterTse and !nhan to TW style LOL

Dragon-88 09-13-2011 02:28 PM

Whats the diff? only played HK style..

Tim Budong 09-13-2011 02:45 PM

16 tiles on hand, 17 to win

and its face paced, rarely do we see draws.
"chicken" wins can count towards many points depending on how the hand is built
