Where are you buying while deli meats from? Posted via RS Mobile |
i normally just buy my deli meat from superstore... you guys ever wonder how the deli people make their meat into a giant ball? like a chicken breast can only be so big yanno... |
I mean where are you getting it whole that you need a deli slicer? The only deli meats I try to get are things like salami style meats, proscuitto and pancetta. I won't touch that deli style roast beef, chicken or turkey breast. You're better off just getting one, poaching it and slicing it with a knife, cheaper and more meat too. |
My buddy has this one and it works perfect. The great thing abotu Costco.ca is you dont need a membership to buy online ;) Costco - Nesco® Professional Food Slicer |
I purchased one similar to those "home pro" types. They are better than the all plastic type, but still have a lot of plastic, including the gears. Broke the gear after about 2 weeks of periodic use. Motor will whine, but blade doesn't turn. I ended up buying a used "pro" off of Craigslist for $250. Even has sharpening stones to hone the blade during use. It's a Berkel 808 but warning ya, you gotta have the space for it, it's huge and heavy (all metal). |
