Grad suit shopping.. My grad photos are coming up soon and i need a suit. Apparently calvin klein has some nice slim ones.. Im looking for a light grey suit similar to Kanye West's 808's & Heartbreak album cover or pee wee hermans suit... Anyone have recommendations for places to buy suits? Thx in advance! :D http://stylefrizz.com/img/kanye-west...pictures-1.jpg |
I wouldn't spend too much on a suit for grad, i rented one from moores, and it fit me really well! It was quite cheap as well. |
considering its just grad pic for the yearbook i take it..why does it need to be brand new ? :suspicious: just wear ur regular dress shirt + tie + dress pants n shoes. Nothing has to be fancy since they'll literally see you in a gown lol unless you plan to use the same for prom/dry grad lol and yes i got my tux at moores rented for about 150$ , loved it |
Sorry i didnt mean just grad photos i ment like anything suit at graduation related stuff. And i totally forgot about moores lol im definitely gonna check it out soon! Thx guys. Posted via RS Mobile |
its better to get a low-mid end suit that is tailored and fits properly, than to get a super expensive suit that is off the rack and isn't tailored to your body.... |
if it is just for pictures i wouldn't worry about it that much. Just rent one if you really want a suit for photos. |
if you really want to buy a suit moores is having their b1g1 sale starting on the 22nd |
le chateau has nice suits. and i'm selling a $270 store credit if you're interested. |
If you buy, you'll only wear it a few times during the grad events and a year down the road, you'll never wear it again. Chances are it won't fit you after a year and you'll have to buy another one anyways. When you're established after school and start a career, that's when you start looking for a permanent suit since you'll be wearing it much more often and your change in body shape will be more or less set. |

Harry Rosen Lifetime tailoring free |
^ Harry Rosen ? Are you kidding me? It's highschool grad, not a business manager opportunity |
LOL harry rosen.. even if i could get one there i wouldnt. imo, their customer service is terrible, if i aint wearin a 500 dollar tshirt or somethin they'll just ignore you and give you a "what are you doing here" look... :fuckthatshit: |

^ maybe just for you that get bad service, harry rosen employees are always attentive and work well, but yeah harry rosen for a grad suit.. yeah no, thats spending racks on racks for something you wear 3 times only haha |
Harry Rosen are professional : Even if you aint rolling in with a thousand dollar outfit, they respect the fact that your just dreaming for the clothes, just like most are. As for suits, as mentioned above, get a regular suit, not too pricy, but if it is, make it tailored, than something off the rack that doesn't fit/make you look good. You'll only wear it so many times...Shirt + pants + vest ties and shoes are good enough, if you ask me. |
got my grad suit from harry rosen, boss suit still ball out in it , lifetime tailoring :fuckyea: |
thing about buying a nice suit when you're 17 is you're friends arent getting married anytime soon and 90% of the time you put a suit on (unless you have to for work), its for a wedding. |
I made the mistake of buying my grad suit, never wore it after graduation So i say rent, just rent diff ones for diff grad occasions |
well assuming you go to grad.. u gotta wear ur suit three times total then artona, single + group, then prom, maybe ur school has a formal dance too? u gotta answer these urself... |
I bought my suit from K&G Superstore in the States. Yeah it's a lower-quality suit, but I had to go down to find a suit that fit a bigger guy, and that didn't break the bank. Spent I think 200-250 on it, including dress shirt and shoes. I had the pants hemmed in-house as well on the same day. It's true that you don't wear the grad suit more than a few times, but I still fit in mine, even though I haven't been to a formal event in a while. |
yea go to moores and rent a suit. nobody will care what brand you're wearing as long as it looks nice. I guarantee you'll need to buy a new one in a year or two if you get a job or get into college/university. Just because you're graduating doesn't mean you've stopped growing. |
