Grad suit shopping..

My grad photos are coming up soon and i need a suit. Apparently calvin klein has some nice slim ones.. Im looking for a light grey suit similar to Kanye West's 808's & Heartbreak album cover or pee wee hermans suit... Anyone have recommendations for places to buy suits? Thx in advance!

I wouldn't spend too much on a suit for grad, i rented one from moores, and it fit me really well! It was quite cheap as well.

considering its just grad pic for the yearbook i take it..why does it need to be brand new ? just wear ur regular dress shirt + tie + dress pants n shoes. Nothing has to be fancy since they'll literally see you in a gown lol unless you plan to use the same for prom/dry grad lol and yes i got my tux at moores rented for about 150$ , loved it

its better to get a low-mid end suit that is tailored and fits properly, than to get a super expensive suit that is off the rack and isn't tailored to your body....

if it is just for pictures i wouldn't worry about it that much. Just rent one if you really want a suit for photos.

If you buy, you'll only wear it a few times during the grad events and a year down the road, you'll never wear it again. Chances are it won't fit you after a year and you'll have to buy another one anyways. When you're established after school and start a career, that's when you start looking for a permanent suit since you'll be wearing it much more often and your change in body shape will be more or less set.

do you know if moores has slim fit suits/dress shirts? I am not talking about the "slim fit" that is still baggy but has a modern cut body, but something that actually has slimmer sleeves, and tighter shoulders. ps. not skinny fit though. basically fits that mexx, hm, le chateau have.

Harry Rosen are professional : Even if you aint rolling in with a thousand dollar outfit, they respect the fact that your just dreaming for the clothes, just like most are.

As for suits, as mentioned above, get a regular suit, not too pricy, but if it is, make it tailored, than something off the rack that doesn't fit/make you look good. You'll only wear it so many times...Shirt + pants + vest ties and shoes are good enough, if you ask me.

thing about buying a nice suit when you're 17 is you're friends arent getting married anytime soon and 90% of the time you put a suit on (unless you have to for work), its for a wedding.

I bought my suit from K&G Superstore in the States. Yeah it's a lower-quality suit, but I had to go down to find a suit that fit a bigger guy, and that didn't break the bank. Spent I think 200-250 on it, including dress shirt and shoes. I had the pants hemmed in-house as well on the same day.

It's true that you don't wear the grad suit more than a few times, but I still fit in mine, even though I haven't been to a formal event in a while.

yea go to moores and rent a suit. nobody will care what brand you're wearing as long as it looks nice. I guarantee you'll need to buy a new one in a year or two if you get a job or get into college/university. Just because you're graduating doesn't mean you've stopped growing.
