Where to buy Ciroc?

It seems like none of the BC Liquor store carry them anymore.

Anyone know why?

Where can I go buy some?

Vansterdam 10-01-2011 07:59 PM

try giving these guys a call

Brewery Creek Liquor Store, cold beer, wine, spirits, specialty beer, craft beer, fine wines, belgian ales, camra,

MR_BIGGS 10-01-2011 08:02 PM

My buddy owns a liquor store in Edmonton and told me that Ciroc Vodka sales were so poor in Canada that they discontinued selling them. You may find some liquor stores that sell them as it is there last shipment.

Surprising. That vodka is so smooth.

jc8181086 10-03-2011 02:49 PM

West Coast Liquor carries it. Fraser for sure, Royal Oak not sure.

WHEYsted 10-03-2011 07:02 PM

604dragon 10-03-2011 10:36 PM

how much does a bottle sell for?

bcrdukes 10-03-2011 10:56 PM

According to the BC Liquor website, there is one bottle left at their Delta store. It sells for $50.99.

7017 - 120th St
Scottsdale Shopping Centre
Delta, BC V4E 2A9
(604)591-3433

Call them and ask them to hold it to avoid disappointment.

stuff99 10-04-2011 08:27 PM

Can't believe its so rare now.

SFUguy 10-10-2011 06:58 PM

Is it even good?

Matlock 10-10-2011 07:02 PM

Liquor store next to admiral pub had it last night. Hastings and Gilmore in Burnaby.

Nope. I believe it's not the alcohol that is the problem but the amount of worm wood contained.

EDIT: I wikied it and found:

Canada

In Canada, liquor laws are established by the various provincial governments. As with any spirit, importation by individuals for personal use is allowed, provided that conditions for the individual's duration outside the country are satisfied. (Importation is a federal matter, and is enforced by the Canada Border Services Agency).

British Columbia, New Brunswick: no established limits on thujone content
Alberta, Nova Scotia, Ontario: 10 mg/kg
Manitoba: 6–8 mg
Quebec: 5 mg/kg
Newfoundland and Labrador: absinthe sold in provincial liquor store outlets

Absinthe is not sold in some provinces, although, in Saskatchewan, an individual is permitted to import one case (usually twelve 750 ml bottles or eight one-litre bottles) of any liquor. Individual provincial liquor boards must approve each product before it may be sold.

Production of spirits in Canada is provincially regulated. Okanagan Spirits in British Columbia released the Taboo brand in 2007: this is possibly the first commercial absinthe crafted in Canada.[87]
So it's the thujone content which is the issue. Luckily we live in a province that doesn't seem to care. :D

the whole selling point for ciroc is the fact p-diddy is one the face of the brand

stuff99 10-16-2011 03:33 AM

Also it is a smooth vodka. Just try it chilled, on the rocks if you get a chance.

tonynguyen 11-16-2011 12:12 AM

Sorry for bumpin, but I'm wondering if anyone knows where this is sold.

Ebay

stuff99 11-16-2011 02:15 AM

I placed a special order with BC Liquor for a case of 6 to splt btwn friends. $50 each.

You should go to the liquor store and request it. The more people ask for it, you might get a chance to have it back.

tonynguyen 11-17-2011 02:11 AM

Thanks for the info, do you happen to know how long it takes?

It depends. Typically takes anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. But now that they found a supplier, it should be pretty quick.

stuff99 11-17-2011 10:26 AM

BC Liquor called me back and told me they can't even order it through special order.

The distributor that imports the vodka is having a dispute with the France exporter.

Something about proper labelling and shipment delays.

No Ciroc in Canada!

bcrdukes 11-17-2011 10:46 AM

Ouch. Looks like there is none available in the country.

Meowjin 11-17-2011 01:23 PM

Try Wybrowna instead.

tonynguyen 11-17-2011 02:04 PM

Oh fudge, was about to head to bc liq today too! That's a bummer.. Guesd I gotta can that. Any other suggestion besides belvedere & goose -_-
