One person is in critical condition and another received serious injuries following a vehicle collision on the Alex Fraser Bridge, Saturday morning.
In total, four people were injured when a stalled vehicle was struck by a taxi on the Alex Fraser Bridge, shortly before noon on Saturday.
At approximately 11:45 a.m., a motorist’s vehicle stalled in the southbound lane of the Alex Fraser Bridge. The vehicle directly behind the stalled vehicle was able to change lanes quickly to avoid a collision but the car behind it was unable to stop in time, subsequently striking the stalled vehicle.
The occupants of both vehicles got out to inspect damages to both vehicles and agreed to meet off the bridge. Before they could move, a taxi struck the second vehicle. As a result of the second impact, four people were sent to a local hospital. Two were released with minor injuries, one received serious injuries, and a fourth individual was listed as being in critical condition, requiring emergency surgery.
The Integrated Collision Reconstructionist team was called out and the scene was cleared at 5:00 PM.
Cpl. Robert McDonald of the R.C.M.P. Traffic Services underscored the danger of stopping on a bridge. “Bridges are very dangerous places to stop, whenever possible, people should remain in their cars and call for assistance,” he said in a release.

This guy tailgated, flashed highbeams and glared me down as he passed me. The best reason I could think of, is when I passed him in the earlier part of the video. Btw, I was gonna pass the Mercedes, but I decided not to at the last second.

This Civic stopped about a good 4 or 5 car lengths away from the red light.
Then she puts it in reverse and takes her sweet time and "changes" lanes.
As I overtook her, I looked over and saw her with TWO hands on a book, staring down at the book, fully concentrated on reading.
The kicker ? The car had "Student driver" in the back window
The blue '05 civic with blacked out emblems.. If you're gonna cut me off and slow down for no reason, at least let me pass you so you can slow down for no reason behind me, rather than suddenly floor it when I'm beside you to not let me overtake you. I'm not looking for a 'race'.. I just need to get home on time and on the speed limit
Hope my slowing down boosted your ego just by a little bit because of your blatant stupidity
Tonight on the way home from work ~11pm I was driving in river road. Dark and rainy in only going 55km/h or less. I always full stop and every sign. The dark/black mdx behind me just drives trough the cambie stop sign without a seconds thought. And rode my ass the entire way to the oval 3-way stop. We both turned right. I changed lanes to the left lame but then te other guy stayed in the right and started to floor it.
At this poit I was sick of the way he was driving. So I kept it in 2nd and took it all the way to redline, and he wasn't able to pass me. Right after the merge in for the right turn I slow right back down to 45km/h until I made my left turn further down river road.
I am not proud. And I should have just let him pass. I'm just so fucking sick and tired of the way people drive in Richmond, and have zero respect for road conditions and SIMPLE RULES.
My bad.. On the other hand, FUCK you mdx Posted via RS Mobile
Stupid driver in an SUV decides to inch forward at a stop sign and doesnt look to his left, where I am coming ... and when finally I am in front of him (T-boned) he nearly hits me, so I honked the shit outta him cause I had the green light. Scared the sh*t outta my dad cause I was driving him to doctors...
Then in less than 3 mins...another SUV driver decides to turn right where I am approaching straight, and nearly sidesweeps me so again I honked. Then she decides to change lanes in front of me without signalling...so basically shes riding between the 2 lanes...
All in all...on king edward street in under few minutes...
I am visiting overseas auto soon and buying me some HELLA PIAA HORNS...could anyone direct me to some other brands?? TIA~~

yet another richmond shitty driver post..
a green turn signal with a RED light doesn't mean you can go straight through.
the dude had earphones on both ears when I stop beside him at the red light, before the signal change.
