i remember seeing a line of buses on hastings around kensington square when we had those few days of snow.
back when we had the snowstorms in 08 or 09, i remember seeing like 7 buses parked there because they couldn't get up to SFU

^Newer buses with lighter frames don't help either. I was the only person sitting in the back of a articulated bus during black ice, massive driftuuuuu. I always wondered if everyone stands/sits at the back of the bus, would the increase weight on the drive axle help with traction .

I wonder what a extended bus would be like dori-dori'ing in the snow. Would they jackknife like a semi with a haul or do they just rip open in the middle like a fat kid on a Mars bar?

It would jack-knife. During the unexpected dump a few weeks back, one of the SFU-bound buses did just that, blocking the entire Gaglardi Way exit. People behind were getting out of their cars helping shovelling

apparently I caught my first accident on dash cam. I only saw the vehicles stopped when I had finished turning so I didn't stay to give my info as I didn't see it for myself. I called the ICBC witness hotline after reviewing the dash cam right away. wide angle lens ftw

car ahead of me should've seen it happen but just kept going instead.

Almost got ran off the road earlier by an N driver in a silver 2005-2012 Nissan Pathfinder plate # xxx NTG. Was travelling south down #4 road in Richmond in the right lane when the idiot tried changing lanes from the left. Gf's dad swerved and almost ran up the curb and into a pole in an attempt to avoid the accident. Pathfinder then proceeded to floor it past us and cut us off while nearly clipping the car in front in their lane and us for the second time. Had I been in my car this would have been all caught on my dash cam but we're just all glad we were able to avoid what would've likely been a bad accident.

Since I'm still relatively new to Vancouver I do not know the answer to this. I know one is supposed to yield to buses when they pull out and stuff, but are buses allowed to drive in the middle of two lanes, 5-10 km/h under the speed limit, leaving no possible opportunity for those in a hurry to overtake them? This shit always happens on W Broadway and W 4th Ave on the way to UBC...
