It's 50 in school zones during summer unless otherwise posted. Maybe the cop will taser you for going too slow and obstructing traffic

(1.1) Extended hours under subsection (1) may not begin later than 8 a.m. or end earlier than 5 p.m.

The description adjacent to the applicable sign in Division 23 of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulation 26/58 is also being amended to provide for extended hours of operation.

This sign indicates there is a school nearby and school children may be present near or on the roadway.

30 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TAB (Regulatory)

When used below the "School Area (Warning)" sign this tab establishes a maximum speed zone of 30 kilometres per hour on school days between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. or as otherwise specified. This tab may be amended with the text "8AM 5PM SCHOOL DAYS" or other times in place of "8 AM 5 PM" as specified. A period of time otherwise specified must not commence later than 8 a.m. or end earlier than 5 p.m.

The back of the sign assembly for the opposite direction of travel terminates the 30 km/h speed zone.

School districts/boards, law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders are being advised of this amendment coming into force.

the law only states Regular School Day, not summer school....

So I signal left well in advance right after the light when I see the bus, then the idiot in the left lane think's I didn't signal to cut him off then...well you'll see. Some caucasian guy in his 20s driving.
Fun starts at 1:30

Funny thing was... the car behind me, behind the benz, and a few pedestrian saw the whole thing unfold and was staring at the driver of the benz. Near the end, he just HAS to make himself look even worse.

How far behind was he? Sometimes when i'm right inside someone's blind spot, i cannot see their turn signal and it worries me if they think i can.

Yeah I thought about that too, that's why i usually signal well in advance. When I first signalled, there was a good 2-3 car length's of space but I saw him speed up after I signalled. Coincidence or not, you can tell he was pissed cuz I was well into his lane when he first honked, so clearly not me cutting him off all of a sudden.

THe ML driver was looking to start shit. I see behavior like this all the time when I'm driving in downtown. I don't what is with drivers in this city but some of them think they own the lane they're driving. Either they hog up the lane and don't let anyone pass or they'll speed up, honk and tailgate you for no reason.

whiplash is very possible, especially if someone sees the accident happening and tenses up.

I read somewhere in another forum that in U.S, many people don't signal when they change lanes not because they are stupid drivers. Because if they signal, the car behind them on the other lane will either think they are taking advantage them or the car behind will speed up on purpose to not let you in the lane. Technically you are thinking you are signalling to do other drivers' a favor to let them know, but no.

It happens everywhere. People get butt-hurt when you change lanes into their lane. When you follow the law and signal well in advance, they speed up so you can't get into their lane. It's like a natural response people have. It's especially frustrating when it happens in traffic, and you need to change lanes so you can turn left or right onto another street, and you don't want to do it last minute to be a dick. Like seriously, me signalling to let you know, that I want to get into your lane, and you speed up so I can't? In traffic, where one more car in front of you is not going to change your commuting time by even 5 seconds?

When I was a punk 18 year old, I would speed up to not let people into my lane, but it's stupid. What's the point.

Personally, if it is tight, and unless there is construction ahead of me, and i HAVE to change lanes, I will never put my signals on and make someone yield to me just because the car in front of me is turning left, or I missed my turn. I will either wait, or loop around. I hate it when people make last minute decisions and try to squeeze in, so I won't do that.

On the other hand, it is an offence NOT to let someone in.
