i don't think the biker is actually in any wrong (unless he threatened the shit out of her inaudibly or something) so that video wouldn't do the crv driver much good. if she decides to take the video to icbc, they'll rule her 100% at fault because she was turning. i didn't see the biker smack her car or do anything violent (aside from bitching her out completely - which isn't much of an overreaction considering he just got into an accident in which he wasn't at fault at all)

understandable if you feel sorry for the woman, but put yourself in the biker shoe's. if he hadn't seen the crv and hit the brakes when he did, he would've gone flying over the hood of that crv. she fucked up, and she better be willing to accept the consequences. she's lucky she doesn't have to deal with icbc and years of paying extra for her insurance. in fact i'd go as far as to say i'm glad the biker bitched her out. maybe next time she'll be more careful before she blindly turns left because 2/3 lanes stopped for her

Nope, no damage to car, managed to avoid both of them. Was pretty calm when both happened, sound removed due to the fact there was a lot of screaming from my three passengers, something about final destination stuff. Females....lol.

Not sure if others noticed but two smaller things looked like they flew off the moving truck that was in front of me after the first log happened. Foreshadowing?

I do think it was left on the chassis of the truck, probably the pieces of wood to stop wheels from rolling?

For sure the CRV is 100% at fault, but riders like him needs to be aware as they approach "intersections" (or whatever that section would be called). Speeding through when all vehicles are stopped is just brainless. At the end of the day whether whoever is at fault, the rider will lose every time an accident happens.

Don't know if you ride but through motorcycle school we've always been taught to be aware of our surroundings at all times and speeding past anything we're not sure of would surely not end well.

was in the work truck today, going down the one way dunsmuir viaduct. on the far left lane, 2 cars were driving onto oncoming traffic.

If you look again, the CRV makes a left turn from the centre lane and not the far most left lane. And according to ICBC most of the time the driver making a left turn and an accident occurs, is usually at fault.

However if this was a full accident (if the biker didn't stop like he did) then I'm pretty sure the biker would take most of the damage, and probably be more worried about his life than who is at fault.

^^didnt even notice that. She is %100000 at fault and shows shows how shitty of a driver she really is. Hopefully she learns from this...but probably won't

I think the fact that he was aware of his surroundings was what saved him from being plowed, or flipping over the front of the SUV. Cars are stopped because traffic in the left lane is backed up, and you realistically cannot predict a vehicle in its centre lane, going the opposite way, to be conducting a left turn cutting you off. I could be wrong, but I don't even see the SUV singalling..

More likely the biker was fed up and didn't want to deal with a woman who wasn't getting out of her car/probably couldn't speak a word of English. It is wrong for the biker to leave a scene of a collision (if there was damage to the SUV), but to assume he had no insurance is a stretch. The driver does stop, and yells a few things at her. You don't know what the woman said (if she did say something). That also could have been a reason why the biker left.

It is difficult to see past the cars stopped in the left and centre lanes, that is why if I were in the right lane (HOV lane in rush hour) I would slow the fuck down before entering that intersection. The biker didn't seem to be going that fast, as he stopped before he flew over the hood of the CRV.
