From the clip it does look like I was just cruising in their blind spot, but I'm a rider as well, and I try to stay out of peoples blind spots.

The truck and I were both keeping pace and we were coming to pass the SUV actually, then as I was coming up to it, it sped up and before I could pass you see what happened in the clip.

+1 to this post.
I had this happen to me too often, everyone SHOULD shoulder check, BUT there will also be that someone who doesn't do it often or at all. So to be safe stay out of the blind spots of other drivers.

Haha He actually left that on for another minute or so. And I slammed on my horn so hard i jammed a finger.

But goes to show he heard it, knew I was there, but kept on merging. There wasn't a parked car in the right lane for another block or so.

Hi guys, since seeing road rage and lots of dangerous driving on here, I think it's finally time to get a dashcam for myself. Any recommendation?

Good number of us have the blackvue dr400g-hd and mine has been great for me.

The v2 is out for it among other models and just depends on how much you want to spend.

less then 5 minutes into my morning commute and I already come across that "A-hole" driver of the day. Ricer blow of valve Jetta.

Basically tailgates me and anyone else and cuts people off the entire way down Comolake. Like always I would catch him when we hit a light....

I'd wager that he is a revscene member.

EDIT: And he chucked some stuff out the window at me.

hopefully this post is not off thread topic.
but this intersection here at King Edward Ave & Kingsway
street view link: http://goo.gl/maps/dU6DE

I see a lot of drivers make a right turn on to Kingsway from King Edward Ave when the light is red.
Is this correct or do they have to wait until the light turns green to make a right turn.
As there is no straight through or left turns from King Edward on to Kingsway at this intersection.

Like CRS says, it depends on how much you want to spend and the quality you want. For blackvues you got to give up a pretty penny, but a lot of people find it to be worth it, but I've seem ebay dashcams for <$100, does the job but the video quality just isn't as great.

Wow, you saw it at around 2PM?

I passed by that intersection at around 12:30PM so it probably happened minutes after I passed by... or... around there.

You can turn right on red there, there is no sign stating otherwise.

Here is the MVA rule 129
Spoiler!

my gf says other wise.

"there is a light there, it's a red. It is a merge and it's a red light. Facing you. That rule doesn't apply. But the merge right is the straight away which is governed by the light." says her.

wants to prove me wrong.

like what Gatorade said, there is no sign stating you can't turn right on red. just treat it like any other right turn when you are facing a red light. yield to traffic and turn when it's safe.

You know what really pisses me off is when drivers PACE you in their blind spots or vice versa!!!
