Just a follow up about the garbage story I posted, the guy driving the car is pretty big, he's 6'3 and 230+ so he kept his cool for the most part. Only one guy was acting like a prick, the other 2 were trying to smooth things over, in fact the supervisor was pretty nice and told my friend the company would cover any damages or he could go to ICBC. Lucky for him there wasn't any damage to his NSX.
the dashcam makes the vehicles look farther... in real life they cut way closer!
my description for this video
"When I drive I strive to be in the correct lane.
First clip... I am turning right ahead so noobs why are you in the middle lane?
Second clip.. I know there will be parked cars so don't try to be a speedy gonzales and cheat!"
Well i almost just died... Was cruising along hwy 1 at the speed limit in the slow lane due to this awful rain, a car... Didn't get a model but some sort of micro econobox swerves/doesn't shoulder check whatever right into my lane, i swerved, tires lose traction because of the rain and i find myself at full opposite lock at 80 fucking km/h trying to correct the actions of some imbecile. Honestly? I don't know how i corrected it... I was at that much of an angle...Now THAT was a sphincter tightening moment.
I like the part @ 2:20 where the civic cuts off the truck then when they roll to the red the truck rolls down his window to probably say something and when the guy in the civic gets out his car he rolls the window back up, then he realizes the guy from the civic isn't going for him so he rolls his window down 1/4 way to hear whats going on..
In Richmond for only one day this week to buy some groceries and I already see driving worse than what I've seen all week elsewhere.
I realize that I was over aggressive with the BMW, and should not have done that. But I don't understand what was going through the driver's head when she thinks she can just cut in front of me when I'm doing the right thing by leaving the intersection clear....
Aren't there cops that are sometimes parked in that Acura dealership just waiting for people to do illegal U-turns at that intersection?
I remember one night I was at that intersection wanting to turn around and go the other way, I turned into the Acura dealership instead to turn around and saw a cop waiting there. I've seen them there a few times. Number 3 road is a gong show in that stretch though. It's always backed up and if you drive there, something is bound to be caught on video.
AFAIK, there's no law saying you can't change lanes in an intersection. 'Course I might be wrong.
There isn't a law saying that you can't change lanes in an intersection, but one can argue that it fits under the "Changing lanes when unsafe" section. Regardless, I try not to change lanes in an intersection as it can be pretty dangerous with cars turning left and right.
