Even a 12 year old would know a car hitting a pole wrapped in foam won't prevent the car from getting dented.
If you can't think to pull far enough ahead so your passenger door doesn't hit the cement pillar while opening, or to let the passengers out before entering the stall...

Then you shouldn't be driving

I'd rather just back into stalls - just easier and safer all around.

I am not defending his parking job but a small investment like that to prevent derpy friends from slamming your door into the pillar is pretty smart.

What if the driver is handicapped?

What if he reverse parks majority of the time?

It's a convertible. Just drop the top and let your passengers out before putting it back on.

circle around for handicapped reserved spots. even a bigger stall to park into.

This is a good rule to follow.

I was always taught that when you get into a vehicle, your first movement should always be forward. So that means that you should always back into a stall, or maybe you park somewhere where you can pull out directly forwards.

Also I feel like I can much more accurately park a vehicle when you are reversing into a stall, granted you have to learn how to use your mirrors properly (and I have a reverse camera in both my Pickup, and my FX so that doesn't hurt, lol).

Spoiler!

I'd rather back into a stall that I know is empty, than be partially obstructed if I had to back out. It also uses less fuel to pull forward, out of a stall with a colder engine (same reason I get gas on my way home vs. on my way out)

I like backing in because first I find it a lot easier.

Secondly for my dash cam incase someone hits me or something chances are I'll catch them leaving.

Speaking of backing up, guess this bus driver wasn't paying attention.

My friend's car got hit while it was parked at her house. No one really seems to know what happened as she was inside when it happened...

Hahaha, nah, I don't really care much about mileage as long as it's on par with how hard I'm driving. I'm just analytical by nature, so it just makes sense.

That's how I am as well. I care in that I want to save money but not at the cost of time or...well, having to give a shit. I just like to know how much the car is using and the difference between situations. Like...sport mode on my car is basically a 50% fuel increase...and a 100% fun increase.

Did about 8.5L/100KM today to Chehalis and back. A more conservative driver could probably get it down to 6 in my car.

...and what the fuck? Where's the bus stop, relative to that bus?

you both would have been at fault.. as a left turner you must yield to all on coming since you BOTH have the same light. He technically ran a yellow since it turned red when the car was already in the intersection... It is a dick move, yes, but left turn you should be the one ensuring the intersection is 100% clear before you go.

The driver "technically" ran a red actually before he/she was even in the intersection:

Next frame shows he/she clearly had enough time to carefully stop without causing a rear-end to the drivers behind:

i'm not an ICBC decider guy or traffic cop
