From what I can tell, the bicycle was riding on the wrong side of the road, AND ran a stop sign? Hopefully he/she learns from this experience.

Not to mention dark clothing on a rainy day. Not smart at all. Hopefully they recover quickly from their injuries and take this lesson to heart.

sounds like the ambulance wasn't too far off, unless that was the firetruck...

I know an ambulance is more useful in some cases but police officers are first responders too and are CPR certified, same with firefighters

For my accident, ambulance arrived within 5 mins then fire dept. Rcmp didnt show up until after i was taken away by ambulance. Typically, fire is usually the fastest to attend IMO

Does ICBC assume the person on the bike is a vehicle or treated as a pedestrian? I'm starting to run into these situations a lot more due to working beside Ontario St.

Motorists: guilty until proven innocent. There are so many pedestrians and cyclists that give no regard to any rules on the road. The other day some stupid blonde office bitch crossed the street with cars on coming with a green. Got honked by everyone. She looked over for a split second without flinching and continued on, zero fucks given.

Yup, from my experience, the fire department were usually the quickest to get onto the scene. That's probably not entirely unexpected, however. Police and hospital are usually already busy whenever there's an emergency, but the fire department typically isn't tied up.

Saw a pedestrian get hit (who later died due to her injuries) a few years back, during the eve of the Langley Cruise-In. No charges were ever laid against the driver of the car, thankfully, as the woman decided to try and dart across the Langley Bypass. No idea wtf she was thinking as it was heavy, fast moving traffic.

part of the reason why i finally got a dashcam
my parents live in Strathcona area and i see them every week and every damn time some zombie'd out tard will dart out from parked cars and cross the street with zero fucks given.

the number of times a junkie could've been my hood ornament is too damn high.

You guys should sub to that youtube channel. He kinda lives in a crack addict neighborhood and always has good vids posted. 5 Mins for cops to arrive is kinda slow when theres apparently a half way house full of crack heads down the street. Guy has camera's due to the thefts and trespassing of said crack heads.

As for the driver of the video, here's the stupid part. No matter how much the bicyclist is at fault. The driver must pay a deductible and then go after the bicyclist in court for any reimbursements.

This could go either way believe it or not..

White signs at the intersection represent a marked crosswalk. So technically the bicycle had right-of-way IF he would've gotten off the bike and walked across. In this case though, which his lawyer will probably try to defend, is that he rode the bicycle through the crosswalk which voids the right-of-way.

I apologize in advance for my dashcam being horribly out of focus and/or dirty.

Entering a construction zone, truck driver decides to bolt around a garbage truck and 2 cars waiting in front of him while another vehicle is about to enter traffic. The lady holding the stop sign said she lectured him when he was stopped at the intersection.
