That is fucking fucked.

Start at 1:39. The time embedded doesn't work here.

EDIT: Turn down volume, there will be screeching wind noise in the camera.

I've never driven a truck (disclaimer).

But from the video, it appears like the truck accelerated after the taxi put his signal on. Which kind of implies the truck, after seeing the signal, could have held off the accelerator giving the taxi enough space to cut in front. So the truck simply chose not to let the taxi cut in front.

I have no knowledge on what it's like to drive a truck, but that's how the video makes it look in my opinion.

However, the taxi driver should know whenever you cut down the right lane, there's no guarantee someone will let you back in. That's the risk you take.

Regardless of who was in the wrong, the worst part was at the end. The fact the taxi gave the trucker a brake check and finger is reason alone to send that video to the taxi company with a complaint.

The guy who ran into the motorcycle didnt say he did it for speeding, its for trying to pass 2 cars when the lines on the road indicated not too..

LOL..you started your defense by saying "so"..SO that means your the type who ignore rules just because you think your above it? There was a reason it is a double solid line and unfortunately the motorcyclist found out the hard way. Whether or not the driver hit him intentionally or not the motorcycle should not have tried to pass TWO cars.

you're not wrong. except for the fact the car tried to run the motorcycle off the road and succeeded. two wrongs don't make a right especially in any situation that involves vehicles.

that's like saying "oh I intentionally ran a pedestrian over because they were jaywalking; they need to be taught a lesson."

What the fuck?

I think what fsy82 is trying to say is that the rider was breaking the law as well. It doesn't make what the driver did any better, but the rider isn't some perfectly upstanding citizen either.

That is correct The law states no passing on a double solid line.
Motorcylist should learn the road rules before attemping to pass illegaly.
Guy in the car had to avoid some rocks and shit on the side of the road....

The Video should be called Stupid Motocylist learns his lesson.

Just out of curiosity. If the video was different. If the car swerve to avoid a pot hole and he was apologetic. Would the car be held responsible. How will icbc rule it.
Of course this guy is an asshole and hit him on purpose. But what if it was an accident how will this pan out. Will the car still be charge. Even thought he's avoiding a pothole or animal or whatever. Discuss.

The guy is blaming his swerving and hitting the motorcyclist on a wasp sting.

Texas Driver Who Swerved Into Motorcyclist Blames Insect Bite - ABC News

Came out of the car and walked towards the guy filming just fine. "HURR I DUN CURR".

This was clearly a malicious move and the guy felt no remorse doing so. Sure, the biker was breaking the law trying to pass a double solid line, but that gives no one the right to serve vigilante justice by maliciously intending to assault to injure and possibly murder someone.

Nowhere did I say in comments that the driver has the right to commit murder. If you actually read what i wrote without anger and frustration I was simply stating the fact the motorcycle put himself in that situation.

Should the driver have done that? No. Again the situation could have been avoided all together.

That's fair. Thing is if trucks held off the accelerator to convenience everyone, we wouldn't get anywhere. Takes so long to get up to speed.

I will be courteous when I drive and be defensive whenever possible. But driving truck you have to be "aggressive" at times, because if you don't you get nowhere in the city. People don't understand the size and weight of the machines. i.e. if my signal is on to turn right and i'm diagonally taking up 2/3 lanes in order to make a 90* turn and someone tries to sneak past on the inside? There's no way in fuck i'm letting them by.

Agreed to this 100%. If a driver decide to take a risk by cutting down the right lane knowing there's parked cars on the side, then they should also be prepared of not having the space to merge back in

Too often though, they act like it they have a right to cut back in, driver going straight through doesn't let them back in/ they run out of room, and everyone involved starts raging.
