A couple days ago coming back from a movie with my friend...

Left lane, already doing 70 in a 50, dickhead in a black escalade tailgates me and flashes his beams at me, w.t.f

Was the right lane clear? If so, you should've been there.

Where: Main/Terminal
Who: Some blonde bitch
Car: Honda Pilot
What:

Was turning left on Terminal onto Main - just when I was about to make my turn, some stupid blonde bitch turns left from the MIDDLE lane and I just missed ramming into her. I would not be disappointed for long because 2 blocks later, a cop on a motorcycle pulled her over LOLOLOLOL. She was also on her phone so she might have gotten 2 tickets.

Edit: No video - was driving a car from work, not mine lol.

I bet the right lane was going the same speed as the left, So doesn't matter If you where going 70, YOU should change to the right lane and let him pass.

The driver could have a family emergency at home. Had a few situations where this has happened to me, and it's the most frustrating feeling to get stuck behind someone driving slowly because they can't be bothered to change lanes or realize they're holding up traffic and you can't get around them because the right lane is also slow or busy.

Out is just as bad.

Sometimes, you get the normal traffic where people will actually let you merge 1 car per. Pretty standard.

But sometimes you get bundled with the some lost sheep who missed thier exit for Richmond, and they'll creep on your bumper just to stay 1 car ahead of the other guy.

Bitch. It's single lane traffic. SHIT ISN'T MOVING.

Had an MDX nearly drive over my passenger fender today. Left her 2 car lengths to be courteous and let the bitch in. Nope. Decides to nearly take out my car.

Guy on my left was watching it happen. We had a good laugh.

What's funnier is watching the people get pulled over on the 99 NB HOV lane just before the Deas Slough. You would think people would know by now.

Why? Assuming he's on a city street, going 70 in a 50 is more than reasonable. He's under no obligation to speed up or move over just because you want to speed more. He has the right to be in the left lane in case he needs to make a left later on. How fast do you want go in a 50 zone - 80? 90? I think you're going too fast.

Highway rules are for highways.

^ i think most people have the mentality of " keep right unless to pass " even on city streets, and hey at least the suv flashed his lights at him to let him know he needed to get by. He coulda just tailgated the shit out of him, but he was curtious enough to let him know " hey im in a rush "

+1

I never understood highway rules on city streets but I do understand what some of the posters are saying; if there is a driver behind you that is tailgating, move over and let them pass but it's not always simple to just pull into the right lane especially if you're already 20+ over the speed limit.

And I've driven in other cities in Canada and aboard and I have to say Vancouver drivers are the worst when it comes to clogging up the left lane on the highways. So many drivers in Vancouver take it personal when you come up behind them and all you want to do is pass, I can't tell you how many times I've seen idiots brake check or slow down on purpose almost causing a chain reaction accident. On the flip side, some UK motorways I've driven on were a dream to drive. There's no trucks allowed in the right lane, cars pull into the left lane when they see you coming up behind you and you don't have idiots sitting in what's suppose to be the passing lane doing the speed limit.

It's common courtesy. If you're not making a left turn anytime soon then keep right and let other people who wants to pass you pass you.

This rule does not apply to city streets though. This mentality is dangerous and causes a lot of unnecessary ignorant driving stories. And if the guy is already going 20 over the speed limit and passing vehicles on his left then he doesn't need to let the SUV go past him. Sure it would be common courtesy but he's already speeding and the driver of the suv is just trying to be obnoxious and probably wants to speed 60 over the limit, which in my opinion is dangerous driving practices that shouldn't be supported. Even if you do have a family emergency, doing 130 on the oak street bridge is a good method to cause some more family issues for other people.

Who the fuck cares if that escalade had "emergencies at home" or any other excuse. 20km over the speed limit is already plenty. And for you to pull over just to let him floor it past you? Not a chance. His coked out bit h ODing at home isn't worth letting him put every other road users life at risk by excessively speeding to his destination.

All small time incidents.
1-Car ran a red light while turning, nearly hit the dude in front of me.
2-Benz tried to beat the traffic and nearly hit a few cyclists.
3-Semi cut off the blue van, blue van started going into the middle lane nearly hitting the white ford pickup, white ford leaned on the far lane nearly hitting the white semi. Then the blue van casually rides on the line indecisive. He cut off the white semi at the end of the block causing some more loud honking.

New mustang getting towed. Guess he met a turn he couldn't handle.

I was told a driver of a gold taurus ran a red at the intersection of main and kingsway, a biker was going through the intersection from 7th to kingsway and hit the car. Biker was alright. Stupid intersection though. I always hit that damn corner on 7th when I try and turn onto kingsway or main in my van.

Scumbag Camry rolls right past a stop sign and stops in the middle of a lane. Crappy driving on my part as well, I didn't shoulder check and change into the next lane. Instead, just panicked and hit the brakes
