anybody else's internet been really slow the past two weeks? pages take forever to load, downloading takes hours. Speed shows 9 ms ping 57.09 mbps. Every device in the household is affected. Any other company besides Telus that we can switch to? Tired of their bs and prices going up every few months or year.

I thought my Shaw had issues yesterday. The problem was the stupid Motorola modem/router combo unit. Worked fast with wired ethernet but stupid slow with wifi. I reset the power to it and it works normal again.

They are phasing out all the Motorola modems which are DOCSIS 2.. if you have problems just take the modem ask for swap instead of a tech (much quicker).. I had that problem (needing to power cycle the modem every few hours) I just walked a few blocks down over the Shaw tower, get it swapped to a newer Cisco, problem solved. Apparently there will be another one to replace the Cisco in a month?

If you intend to use your own router function. (For me I rather manage my own internal network, especially I have a more than a few routers bridged to cover the townhouse).. tell them to bridge the modem before adding it to your account.

Switched from Shaw to Telus over 2 months ago, never looked back

ZERO drops of internet connection over the past 2 months, whereas with Shaw I would at least 1 dropped connection about ever day or 2 days

Anyone having slow internet for the past 30mins or so? Notice internet was super slow. Can't watch youtube or netflix. Speed test won't even start, ping test shows about 20 to 50% packet lose. Power cycle both modem and router still same thing so I went direct to PC same thing. This is around Burnaby central (near BCIT).
