Where should i buy my lenses?

Whats the best place to buy good quality lenses for my glasses?
My spheres are -3.25 & -3.00 (so they're kind of strong), I already know where I'm getting the frames but just wondering where would be the best place to get the lenses.
Any help would be awesome!

If your vision is strong I suggest getting better lens. I use nikon5 I think and just the lens itself cost over $200 I think with discount. But is worth it IMO.

Once my dad went with some cheap korean brand lens and he keep having headache till he went and got more expensive lends which is fine.

Don't cheap out on stuff that will affect your health (lens in this case)

I've seen some people use these contact lense capsules to put their lenses in. Does anyone know what they are called and what uses they have?

It looks like the thing to the left of the contact case.

don't know what they're called, but the metal piece at the bottom is supposed to neutralize the washing solution (which contains Hydrogen Peroxide).
they claim hydrogen peroxide offers better cleansing power

^^ x2

In addition to Nikon lenses, I've had some excellent results from Hoya as well.

When it comes to eye glasses (frames as well as lenses), I find that Chinese stores in Richmond are significantly cheaper than anything western stores could offer. Two years ago when a co-worker bought some new glasses from some western stores, he paid over $500. I had a stronger prescription than he did, and the Chinese store I went to only cost me a little over $250. Both of our frames were some "designer brand name" type of thing.

Sorry for the thread jack.

I've only ever used Essilor lenses. How do Nikon or Hoya lenses compare to Essilor? Most places I've been to by default sell Essilor while Nikon has a premium but I've always been discouraged to get it given the reason "you can't tell that much of a difference" and I only have light astigmatism.

Where are Hoya lenses made? I'm due for a new prescription soon which may mean new lenses. First time I've come across this manufacturer.

IIRC, the Hoya lenses I had from 5+ years ago was made in Japan. But for the pair I am wearing now, I have no idea where they are made.

As an aside, Hoya is also quite well known for making lens filters (for camera lenses) among other things. In the recent years, at least some of their filters seem to be made in the Phillipines, so I would not be surprised if some/most/all of their products are manufactured there now. From my limited personal experience, however, I have had no issues with the quality of their products.

Here's a curveball:

Are there any companies which sell a polarized lens? I know photo chromatic lenses are out there but was wondering if a polarized option is available for every day use.
