| Parking at UBC
Need a hand. Everything SUCKS! They are going to rip out the free parking on marine drive to replace it with a bike lane..... And they fill up at 6-7am from all the contractors.
Where can I park that isnt more than 10$ a day..... There are a few places that are like 6-7$, but they also fill up. Need some tips! Im thinking of just parking on Blanca and taking a bus for 5 mins....

You can always park around dunbar, or the highway then take the bus. Might take a little longer though

The open lots by the starbucks and near thunderbird are $5.50 for the day and sometimes people give you their stubs when they leave.
If you go to school 5 days a week the parkades work out to be close to $7 a day too.

Over 10? Are you a student or faculty/employee by any chance? If you are, just get a flexpass on a per-usage basis. I think it's around ~$8 per use right now for a single parkade of your choice.
I just grab a ticket on the way in, just in case I'm not staying too long, and use the pass on the way out. AND you get in and out privileges for the day.

Also, the bike lane thing is sort of a 'word of mouth' thing, No concrete evidence!

gota be careful parking there, theres this old guy (maybe the manager for the strata) that gives out warning signs to ppl and then takes pics of your car. They might tow u if they notice ur car always there.
Plus this parking is only good for people who have classes at health sciences or hugh dempster , macmillan etc. If you were to walk from there to Buchanan etc, it would take you a good 15 mins lol Quote:

They are diff strata from the apartments right by totem. The one near totem (right in front of the community centre) is most heaty.
