Donating older hockey equipment

Hello,

In spirit of the upcoming holiday season, I feel like donating my older set of goalie gear (Helmet, Sticks, Blocker, Glove, and Pads) to somewhere that would be in good use instead of selling it off for beer money. I tried to called a few local community centers around East Vancouver. Most of them said they won't be able to accept due to health reasons. I am not sure if this applies to local hockey associations.

Can anyone point to any sort directions to a group who accept my equipment? I obviously just started today so I am just seeing what my options are.

Thanks,
Ian

Where do you live?

I know there are Hockey Associations that take donations of gear and hand them down...but last time i checked it was an event, not just something you can go to and drop off your gear. I wish i can give you more info, but this is the best thing that comes to mind.

My friends are starting an intramural hockey league at SFU. They might be able to use another set of gear. Let me know if they're still available. Thank you.

Appreciated all the help guys.

I managed to donate the gear to the boys and girls club so at least it has a new home. I am surpised after all these years, the gloves and blocker doesn't stink (as much) which is a relief.

Splmash: I might have a spare blocker and gloves available in the near future but I am still waiting back from my friend as he left all his gear in my garage that he doesn't want.
