Learn to cook a dish sessions? I'm not too clear on what these sessions would be called, but I was just wondering if there were any of these sessions held in Richmond or Vancouver, where singles or couples could just learn to cook one dish from a chef. If you aren't sure what I am referring to, it's like that scene in "Hitch" where Will Smith and his date went to a warehouse and they were learning to cook a certain dish, I don't quite remember the exact settings. THANKS! BTW I am not looking for classes or anything more than a few sessions if needed even that. |
If you have basic knife skills, then youtube is all you will need. If not, you can get them there too. I pretty much learned everything I know by youtube and food network. Not to say a real chef wouldn't have more insight or the setting might be cool for a date, but in terms of just learning to cook, youtube is already overkill. |
Thanks for your input, but I was asking because I wanted to attend these sessions with friends. |
I don't remember the exact name of the place but there is one in vancouver. They host different cuisine types on certain days. Google it up. |
ive been to the dirty apron and it was pretty fun. 4 hours hands on, great ingredients (when i went the main protein was berkshire pork loin), wine included with each course, and really nice instructors. a little steep at around 150pp, but its 4 hours and the portions are large enough for you to take home and eat for at least another meal or two. |
