Learn to cook a dish sessions?
 

I'm not too clear on what these sessions would be called, but I was just wondering if there were any of these sessions held in Richmond or Vancouver, where singles or couples could just learn to cook one dish from a chef.

If you aren't sure what I am referring to, it's like that scene in "Hitch" where Will Smith and his date went to a warehouse and they were learning to cook a certain dish, I don't quite remember the exact settings.

BTW I am not looking for classes or anything more than a few sessions if needed even that.

If you have basic knife skills, then youtube is all you will need. If not, you can get them there too.
I pretty much learned everything I know by youtube and food network.

Not to say a real chef wouldn't have more insight or the setting might be cool for a date, but in terms of just learning to cook, youtube is already overkill.

I don't remember the exact name of the place but there is one in vancouver. They host different cuisine types on certain days.

Google it up.

ive been to the dirty apron and it was pretty fun.
4 hours hands on, great ingredients (when i went the main protein was berkshire pork loin), wine included with each course, and really nice instructors.
a little steep at around 150pp, but its 4 hours and the portions are large enough for you to take home and eat for at least another meal or two.

Depends on how many friends, I know my friend had a christmas party at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (granville island). They made their dinner then ate it.
Heard it was a lot of fun.
