wrong doing from icbc?

so i received a ticket for failing to have my seat belt on... i got the ticket on nov 1 and a few weeks later while i was away i got a letter from collection agency for the ticket? my dad didnt know what it was so he paid it off.. question is... why the hell was it sent to a collection agency in less than 30 days? now it shows up on my credit report.. and i cant dispute the ticket cause its already paid...and they also charged me like 10 bux more than the ticket and im suppose to have $25 off if i paid within 30 days.. this is like a scam.. charge me more than its worth and fuk up my credit report??? where and who can i talk to??

Start using your seat belts, that's a start.

Maybe you should ask ICBC instead of RS?

terkan 12-02-2011 07:28 PM

well it does involve a police ticket... from a motor vehicle violation.. so i dont see wats wring in asking

Soundy 12-02-2011 08:09 PM

Nobody here has any way of knowing why your ticket might have been sent to collections less than 30 days after you got it. Are you sure it's even the same ticket?

We arent ICBC , we dont rob you of your money.

We are RSers , troll the life out of you everyday.

MindBomber 12-02-2011 08:23 PM

What were you even going to dispute the ticket based on?

gars 12-02-2011 10:20 PM

maybe you should ask your dad why he'd pay collections something that has YOUR name on it without first asking what it is?

Or better yet, why is your dad opening your letters without your knowledge/consent?

More importantly, what's your address, so I can send your dad some of MY bills??

My guess would be the car's actually insured under his dad's name.

zulutango 12-05-2011 01:51 PM

Ah yes...I'm an adult now....except the car belongs to my dad and he insures it? I paid for my own cars and if I could not insure or maintain them, they would have been parked until I could.
