i've been so anxious and excited for the belt, that I kept emailing them for updates. I wish they had a better website for ordering. Anyways, my belt is not affected by the backorder. In fact my order should complete tomorrow. Hopefully i'll have it within the next few weeks.

BTW how long does shipping take from them? Teggy mentioned that it went to LA first?

Shipping took about 8-10 business days. I assume they forgot to scan my package throughout the delivery as my belt was delivered a day following my LA post.

I'm looking for a white leather belt. nothing fancy. I've been searching around and most of the places that carry them dont carry any more white ones. Any suggestions? Price range would be under 100.

TIA

So just to let you guys know, my order shipped. But they shipped it by first class mail, instead of priority international. No tracking

I'd love to know where to get Obenauf's as I've heard very good things about that stuff too.
I do have some mink oil, picked up from Browns at metrotown though.

There is similar belt to the Tanner Goods (natural) one made by Corter. They recommend protecting the belt with "Obenaufs Heavy Duty LP".

Let it dry, and with a couple days use the leather will be shiny, super hydrated, and very protected.
So I just ordered a can of Obenaufs Heavy Duty LP for my Tanner Goods belt. It costs $19 w/ shipping.

Awesome! I've been wearing my belt for 3 weeks now. The inside is stained from the indigo from my raw denim but you cannot see it. I just finished putting a coat of mink oil, which has caused the leather to darken slightly.

You can get Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP directly from their online store https://www.obenaufs.com/index.php?r...&product_id=30

I emailed the guy to ask him exactly what the product does and this is the reply
Quote:
It will darken the leather and keep it looking nice , not sure about a distressed look but it doesn't protect from uv rays.

or you can Corter belts from here http://corterleather.bigcartel.com/products

How did you belt look after 3 weeks without the Mink oil? After applying Mink oil, how much darker is it? Like a dark brown, or a tan?

Did it come with anything else or boxed in any special way? Just curious lol.

My wallet was just thrown into a bubble envelope. No tags or anything.

Mine just came in a box, with the belt inside. No protective packaging, nor a piece of paper (packing slip, or receipt). The top of my buckle was defective. I emailed them, and they will be sending me a new buckle once they receive new stock.

I actually do have a photo of my belt from when I received it It's from my iPhone. I am trying to document the colour change

I actually have an issue with the buckle of my belt. It's gouged at the top corner, and has sharp raised edges. So I emailed them, and once they have stock, they will be sending me a new buckle. Plus I don't have to send the gouged one back. Great customer service on their end.
