2 years bench is the HARDEST to increase after 2 plates... hitting chest 2x a week for about 6months strait worked best and doing heavy incline

strykn what do you bench now? what is/was your max?

I only increase bench when I bench twice a week with one day being on 2-3 rep HEAVY. and the other day including incline. like strykn I think incline helps a lot too. i think it helps with my drive from the bottom.

If I bench twice a week I can climb up to 285-295ish and slowly keep climbing. If I stop focussing on it and bench once a week it drops back to about 245 and then it takes like 3 months to get back up again.

Im determined to hit 3 plates this spring. Based on how things are going, maybe within 6 weeks.

Did you guys bother to 'load' on your creatine? (20g a day as per label)
Picked up a 1000g container but I researched and studies say it's not necessary.

i find that adding 3board bench on the smith machine has really increased my bench press as well. Well i guess im not lifting as much as you guys but not too sure how well the 3board bench helps when ur aiming for 3+ plates. Its def helped with my explosiveness near the top

I found that chains, bands, and boards help me get to and past the 3plate bench.

I think your bench max can actually be calculated based on your frame/weight... I've never done it myself though... god damn, so many jacked mofos here.. I rarely see anyone at my gyms even doing over 2 plates... i see the occasional badass doin 3 but thats pretty much it

I was doing rows with the Barbell between the legs and 5 plates on the end of it. Was going pretty hard and hit my sternum lol. Now it's bruised. Row like a boss.

Berz out.
