Try using your hips instead of the knees when it gets heavy. When it gets so heavy that you're using your legs, the exercise has probably lost its usefulness as a row, and becomes something else.

Guys, serious question. Can anyone fill me in?

I've recently started getting curious about bulking and then gaining some more muscle...all this time, because I was overweight, I've always put a huge amount of focus on the losing size and getting leaner part of fitness. But how would I go about in trying to gain a little more muscle + mass?

I currently do forms of intense cardio about 4 times a week and I also lift about 4 times a week. As of now, I am currently at around 180lbs. If I were to commit to this, what would I have to do? I do not want to exclude any of the cardio I've been doing, as I would like to keep my level of fitness the same.

Hypothetically, would all I have to do is lift heavier + eat more? And, perhaps, only lift on the days I haven't trained yet so I could push harder? Then, once I reach a proper size, cut and diet?

I've always been quite confident in the losing weight part but I don't really know what to do in this case...I'd like to commit but there is the fear of the unknown

I'm okay with what I'm at right now, I suppose...I just feel as though I need a bit more change. I guess at the end of the day I just want to gain more lean muscle without gaining too much weight...

No kidding man - I'm stalling at 95lb 5x5 /(4 month in) and a friend hits 95 5x5 in less than 5 workout sessions...... Shit is cray.

thanks...you had me second guessing my weight but it was the 45lbs bar plus 2 10's and a 2.5 on each side = 90lbs

my squats are terrible because i have chicken legs to the max...i've never really worked them out at all, i've been on and off working my upper body for a few years but really never my legs. the best i got on my legs was like 5 plates each side on the leg press for 4 sets of 10 kind of thing

after squats last night i'm happy to say that while alittle sore, my legs are no where near how sore they were last week...just might actually be able to do squats again tomorrow night lol

i'm still having a hard time getting the proper deadlight form down. how much pushing is there from the legs? is deadlight a leg exercise? for some reason i have it in my head that it's more upper body but being taller i find i need to really get low to not have to bend my back down at a sever angle
