This Is how my chest day looks

Warmup 10 minutes for elliptical

10 reps with the bar to make sure I got my form down

5x250+260lbs x 4-5 times.

Chest dips no extra weight

Till failure x 5

Incline bench

70lbs dumbell x 5.

Skull crushers or pulldowns.

Clap pushups until I feel like dying.

Works for me. Still seeing gains.

When I drop 25 more pounds might seek a trainer.

What a weird body I have. Most people only work out upper body. I'm almost the opposite.

why do you only squat and deadlift

I use the chart and am at intermediate for everything. Seems right as I have been lifting for 2 years now. Still lagging on DL.

@ 177lbs 5-10 reps

Squat = 290 lbs
Dead lift = 315 lbs
Press = 140 lbs
Bench = 205 lbs

Hey guys, if you guys have any tattoos, did you take a break from the gym after getting it done? I am getting some work done on my chest and left arm again, and I want to keep going hard at the gym. I just don't want to risk getting any stretch marks or ruining the healing process. Any advice?

I'm getting one done on my chest soon too. Personally will be taking a week off just to be cautious. A break from going won't kill you.

Let it heal completely. I wouldn't worry about stretch marks as much as scuffing up the freshly healed skin. 2 weeks minimum

Hey haven't posted here in a while... I think its been MONTHS.
Update: Finally saw a doctor about my joint problems early summer and he basically said my joints for a 20 year old is really unusual... in a bad way. He compared me to a middle aged man. I regret the times when doing bench/military press and my shoulder joint was killing me but I said fuck it gotta fight through it... I've learned my lesson and realized I would rather be 60 and healthy than 60 enduring pain from ego and trying to get reach the imaginary 1000lb club as quickly as possible. That being said im still gonna push myself.

Now 3 weeks ago I strained my neck and was told I couldnt workout for at least 4 weeks and I felt alright so just came back from a light workout.

Here are pictures before and after my workout:

Excuse my engrish

EDIT: 5'7/8 @ 139

Resistance exercises to start off is where its at bro. From what I understand, you're lifting too heavy at too early a stage. The only time you should be lifting at maximal or submaximal (70-80%) of your 1RM is when you nervous system and tendons/ligaments have adapted to resistance training. In my knowledge, this time period should approxiametly be 2-3 months of endurance lifting 50-60% 15-20 reps, working out 2-3 times per week. Once you've passed this stage, THEN move on.

Ease off of it man, if that's what your doctor is telling you, he is grossly overexaggerating things. Physicians and medical professionals will always discourage any form of weightlifting or sports because they don't want people to take risks. There has to be an optimal amount of weightlifting for your bones to be healthy...

I'd still continue lifting, just with much lighter weights and working around the joints that are injured. What I'm saying is, if your elbow joint is hurting you, work out your forearm muscles and bicep/shoulder muscles. Go check out a physio or a kines, it will help.

That being said, you have awesome traps and a shredded back for being 139 lb.

-Also, I don't know how many of you have experienced this, but the rush of endorphins after completing a squat or dl PR feels so amazing. Not sure if upper body exercises give such a light headed intense sensation.

Dear Fat Lady at South Arm

I'm sorry that me doing deadlifts disturbed your workout that you had to say something to me right after I finished a set.

I bet its unusual to see a guy that's not in highschool be able to lift as much as me and do the exercise properly.

But I'm glad that you offered a suggestion to me that I was disturbing "everyone" in the gym because of I was doing my exercise right.

I'm aware that there is no dropping the weight policy. But I'm also aware that I don't want to destroy my back because me lifting as much as I did and dropping the weight to a dead position was too much on your fat fragile ears.

Love

Douchebag Gymrat.

On a serious note, I snapped at her because I told her to not speak for everyone at the gym and that there are no pillows available to drop my weights on, and that I didn't want to hurt my back and if she thinks im breaking some gym rule to call the fucking attendant (who then told her I was doing the deadlift right). South arm doesn't have any platforms I can use, Plus it was literally right after a set and I was full of testosterone.

I can't wait till my membership expires so I can go back to the oval.

Speaking of deadlifts,

I tried on a pack of assault, dumped in a big portion and went to the gym.

Did 2 plates for 12 reps with ease and proceeded with 3 plates.
Boy was i surprised, I got 8 reps out of it. So i put on another 10 lb each side for 335lb and got 5 reps out of that.

HIT NEW PR TODAY for deadlift woot woot! lower back is getting stronger...

Will be testing my 1RM for bench next week and my aim is 3 plates. If it is 3 plates, imma jump for joy. If I fail, i'll kill myself in the process

3 plates at your weight on bench is crazy
Most ppl will never do 3 feelsgoodman, the best part of benching is grabbing 8 45 plates and putting them on the side and everyone is like wtf
