fuuuarkkk, I went for 335 today.

275x5, 315x5, then went for 335x3. I was all pumped cause I thought I got it, till I looked at the footage. I didn't go parallel enough (about 75-80 degrees), and I used my knees too much.

Will try again soon

anyways a good training tip: if you're going heavy most the time and doing alotta big compound movements don't worry bout taking weeks/days or even months off...helps in the long run

since this shit got derailed earlier

I agree with regular deloads. I think of them as a one step back, two steps forward kinda deal. But taking a few months off is too many steps back!

well months is appropriate if you are also doing additional sports that are taxing on your CNS or impact heavy in nature (i.e. sprinting, football, fights sports)

but yea if you just lift then a month is probably too much lol

IIRC i think nfl players oly sprinters take like 1-3 months deload

That's true. I think in those cases the athletes will switch to lifting for maintenance (which is still deloading).

good shit neways heres more training tips

speed training is perhaps the best way to help get big numbers on your deadlift/squat/olympic lifts

heres a handy chart

training in the absolute speed/speed endurance will make your lifts go thru the roof

You were always the same strength, except you let your ego get in the way of your training and did half reps of weight you couldn't handle.

Good on you for changing that up though.

^ damn thats lame. Hope it is a minor.

Dropped weight on squats tonight 245lb 3x5 but still not deep enough. Going to start again at 225. Thinking about doing stronglifts 5x5 again to get my squat up.

I squat to 90 degrees to focus more on quads than glutes. I don't know if that's what you would call a half squat, but I only do 90 degrees for a reason.
