Deadlifts imo are one of those exercises that can either help you gain alot of mass or gain nothing at all depending on how you do it.
and remember, aside from your lats, you're not gonna see a back pump as much as your delt, bi, pec pumps... Back development is like one of those "slowly but surely" type of things
that being said, I def notice a thicker lower back after doing deads for awhile and my lower back didn't have much mass on it to begin with

There was some guy doing deads at the Fleetwood rec. center for over half an hour last week. He just kept going and going and going.... and going. Thought he was going to fall over and die. I think I managed to get 4 different sets in while he was busy doing 10x100 reps on deads. His form was iffy too..

Has anyone ever had pain on the top part of the delt AFTER doing a press? Its not the muscle, but its right on top of the bone. I'm not sure if it's a rotator cuff injury since it does not hurt at all when I raise my arm to the side or to the front.

right shoulder still fussy, cant squat and the second there's weight on my shoulders the pain comes back 
but i deadlifted and benched fine
