i guess the taekwondo guys don't do punches nearly as often as kicks

that's where your forearms are missing out on man

I'm pissed. I feel like something is wrong but I can't pinpoint in, whether it is mental or technique etc but last week and this week doing the bench press (3x8-10 reps) I've only been able to 70lbs. I switched to the 45lb plates but could only do 3-4 reps. Same goes for incline as well.

I'm 5'10 @185 (granted still like 18-20% BF) but I feel like I should be lifting more than this. I was doing the 45lb dumbbells for the incline db press for the same reps.

when you do deadlifts, do normal grip. keep doing normal grip till your grip is fucked, and then switch to the alternating grip.

after my deadlift day, i do curls/rolls with the barbel. basically I hold it in front of me (palms facing me), and i curl away as high as i can go (kinda like throttling a motorcycle, but raise your arms a little too...you'll feel some burn in the shoulders as well), and as soon as i hit resistance, i curl towards myself (like de-throttling a motorcycle) until my wrist is fully extended towards me... after a while you'll find you cant do many more... to finish off, still holding the bar the same way, let your fingers extend as far as they can go without the bar falling to the ground, then curl your fingers back up. i do the above for about 15 minutes after deadlifts to finish off my forearms.

i find that works my whole forearm. I do that with just the bar or with 10's or 15's, and your forearms will be pumped as fuck and sore the next 1-3 days.

i'm skinny in the calves and forearms too, but even though my forearms arent giant like a lumberjack or mechanic, they are bigger and definitely you notice your grip strength go up.

i also bought some heavy grip handgrippers... 100, 150, and 200lbs (lol i cannot close the 200) resistance. I find they do work your strength, but they don't get your forearms as big as doing the barbel curls/rolls.

i would definitely bench press with someone experienced, the bench is surprisingly technical and improvements in form can easily add 10+ lbs. there's alot of stuff you need to account for, i.e., keeping your entire body tight, pinching back shoulder blades, building tension in your lats, bringing the bar below ur nipples, feet way behind knees etc

Do you guys wear belt for bench? I remember watching a youtube video and some powerlifter said that the bench can be potentially morr dangerous than the squat.

Anyone had this before?
yes. i had this a year ago and it was so bad i went to the hospital and ended up seeing a stroke specialist. it was horrible and i know what you're going through. all i can say is you have to take a break and get back into it slowly. when you do get back, really focus on breathing when doing your lifts. also, sometimes these headaches are caused by a tight muscle in the back of your head. i believe its called your occipitals. i suggest you gently massage this area once in a while. what you do is use both thumbs trace around your spine up to the soft spot on your head and just find painful areas and GENTLY massage it

I had this problem after the deadlift challenge. Just make sure you warm up more than you normally would before going into your working sets. At least that helped me. It goes away after a few weeks

I just watched the NY PRO 2013 recap and Ramy just made Martinez look like an amateur. Unreal. I love how there's not a lot of hype between the guys that place 4,5,6,7,etc
