Definitely some interesting keeper players on the 2 managers teams that haven't responded yet. Seguin, Rinne, Kessel, Luongo, Sharp, Pavelski, Datsyuk and Green. We will need at least 2 replacement managers by tomorrow, league must have even # of teams in order to operate and draft as per Yahoo rules. If no replacement or only 1 willing person to take over, I will just have to delete the 2 teams and their players will re-enter the draft, which will be interesting as I can see Seguin and Datsyuk being potential #1 and #2 overall draft picks.

I would say just boot them off and let someone else join. They have had months to respond. I rejoined the league in September I think!

Ya, and now that LSF22 has moved from RS2 to RS1, theres basically only 4 ppl in RS2, might just delete and cancel RS2 points league, if those managers want to move over to RS1 or RS keeper, post here asap

RS Keeper: Please have your rosters set by 12pm PST tomorrow Friday so that we can finalize rosters in preparation for draft.
Since Bert has not responded to multiple emails, RS PMs or thread postings, his Keeper team will be given away to another manager who has expressed interest.
Draft order will be determined by Yahoo randomly with a snaking draft.
RS1: As goo3 has not responded to multiple emails, RS PMs or thread postings, his spot in RS1 will be given away to another manager who has expressed interest
RS2: Due to a lack to teams, renewals and interest, RS2 the points league has been shut down

Hmmm. Which 2 of these guys should I pick with my remaining 2 keeper spots ? Really not sure.
Dan Boyle, Ray Whitney, Justin Williams, David Perron, Pascal Dupuis.
Dan Boyle is old but still one of the top offensive defencemans in the league.
Ray Whitney is coming off a spectacular season but he's one year old and on a new team.
Justin Williams is a decent winger on a very good LAK team.
Perron is a great player fully recovered from his injury and on a strong line.
Dupuis is a question mark but its speculated he will be playing with Crosby.
I'm thinking Dan Boyle and possibly Perron.

So it's between Whitney and Perron for me. Well Whitney was old and small last year and he kicked ass. No reason to think he can't do it again. So I'll keep Boyle and Whitney.
My hardest decision wasn't even that hard. It was between the asshole Brad Marchand or Mike Ribeiro. I'm gonna go with Marchand cuz he gets alotta PIMS as well. You guys heard it here first, Ribeiro will be up for grabs in case anybody is interested. He's usually good for 60+ points a year. Might play with Ovie this year.....shit maybe I should keep him?

Want some advise here for my own pool..
HOW TO FIND THE BALANCE BETWEEN PLAYER VS GOALIE
Goalie stats are stupid, we can introduce rules to force a 2game minimum for goalie stats to count, but when you want to make a challenge for players by throwing in hits/blocks/SoGs, the players stat columns get pretty heavily skewed
Standard goalie stats are Wins, Shutouts, GAA, SV% and GA, i find saves, shots against to be redundant,
so what is the opinion here to find a "balance" so that the importance of goalies are justified

Imo a player's age will be less of a detriment this season (assuming they stayed in shape during the lockout)

Draft times for both RS Keeper and RS1 will remain unchanged as the split is still 50/50. For those that can't draft live, please ensure you pre-rank your draft lists RS Keepers: final reminder, managers must finalize their maximum 6 skaters 1 goalie keeper players by noon today.
As we allowed trading of draft picks last season, Yahoo is making me manually enter draft positions in order to account for the draft picks traded last season. If we let Yahoo randomly choose, it will not import and account for traded draft picks. See screen shot below for draft pick grid

so what is the opinion here to find a "balance" so that the importance of goalies are justified | I think there is a decent balance right now, with 7 skater categories (G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG) vs 3 goalie categories (W, GAA, SO) given that there are only a limited amount of quality starting goalies available and so many skaters, I find if we add more goalie categories, if a manager has only 1 starter he has no chance for the weekly matchup usually.
