Questions with traveling within Asia

Hey guys, a group of us is planning to go to HK from March 14 to April 4th, I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to book for flights from HK to taiwan then to Phuket or vice versa and then return back to HK? I have heard mostly that most of the packages don't do layovers or something? Thank you in advance.

It really depends on how your travel plan is.

Not sure about Phuket, but I did once buy a flight from YVR-->TPE-->HKG-->TPE-->YVR via EVA air. The YVR-->HKG with EVA was cheaper than YVR-->TPE (with my destination being Taipei) and I had a 3 days trip to HKG. (I had the long *layover* in TPE on the way back) You could look into that.

And the Phuket one is probably checking whether Taiwan or HK has cheaper flight there and pick up there.

Me and my guys are doing the same exact trip but from the 3/31 to 4/15.

You're best bet is for do a long layover in HKG on your way back from TPE. So your return flight would be (with Cathay, about $1350):
YVR->HKG->TPE
TPE->HKG *long layover*->YVR

During your long layover, you can fly to Phuket with AirAsia return direct for about $450-$500.

Actually I should've mentioned that we are already doing a layover in Seoul with Korea Air, found a promotion they were having and came up to $1250 after taxes and everything. I was told Hong Thai or Wing On travel are the places to ask for the packages. Anyone have experiences with either one? Wing On doesn't have any english option for their website, wish I kept up with my chinese lessons when I was younger.

Wow that is a sweet site, wish I used it. The planning got very tedious and I went through a travel agent for this for 1990 all taxes included.

Mar 14 Vancouver - Seoul (arriving on Mar 15)
Mar 20 Seoul - Hong Kong
Mar 25 Hong Kong - Taipei
Mar 30 Taipei - Phuket (via Singapore)
Apr 04 Phuket - Vancouver (via Seoul)

what do you guys think? Now I need to try to find a hotel for phuket and taipei. Has anyone used hotelscombined.com before?
