Parking Ticket in Whistler

I received a parking ticket from the "Resort Municipality of Whistler." If I don't pay it, will I have problems renewing my insurance as I would if I get a by-law ticket in Vancouver?

Thanks in advance.

Is that why you decided to post this non-related thread in the "Police forum" where you can't be failed?

:suspicious:

Pay the Ticket. Municipalities can and will send their tickets to actual collection agencies (not to be confused with the inhouse subsidiary companies of private parking lots that are "collections" by name only). Which will in turn show up on your credit.

Though, it can't hurt to phone in, admit you made a mistake and ask if they are willing to let you pay just the amount of the parking. Some cities used to have a "get out of parking fines free" card, where if your plate didn't have a history and you were nice, they'd let you go... ONCE. Used it myself in two different cities (Van and White Rock) Never hurts to ask.

Vancouver used to have a "first-one-free" policy... not any more, though.

pay it and don't do it again
