Aside from the "accidents always seem to happen on the way to a car meet"...

Why you should never pace someone else... and sit in their blind spot.

Any official word on what happened? You tube comments say the road was wet - yet the road is dry where the tires are making contact. If the back end broke loose under acceleration I'd expect it to slide out, instead the front end veers left. Either driver error or mechanical failure.

definitely looks like something broke, a suspension component gotta be... i'll go check on the VQ forums right now see whassup, i know those guys they're on there

edit: ya just checked, they're saying he downshifted and lost traction, and it makes sense because if you listen carefully you can hear the downshift right before he loses control.... also suspension was fine enough for him to get out of the ditch and make it to the show... no info on the silver Z though, fck he took it up the ass it seems thanks to the idiot in the black one....

or we can just all make it easy and blame the Rotas, lol, i gotta say though dem fckers held up well, looks like they just got dirty

Down shifted and lost traction?

Stupid noobs. Get better tires next time. Better yet, get some real wheels. That, or learn how to down shift.

well they're saying the guy is supercharged and apparently the charger kicked in or whatever... no pics of silver z yet

and he's not really into the fitment thing as you can see by his fat tires and rotas...tires aint stretched, and they look like 40 series, possibly 35, he's got no camber.... which all makes sense since he's supercharged why would you wanna fck up your grip with stretch and camber anyway

to me the suspension looks fine, at least from the drivers side, and i'm also thinking if he DID just lose traction, the guy has to be a pretty bad driver not to even attempt to correct countersteer at all, fckin looked like he literally drove it into the ditch

In the video it sounds like he down shifted to wrong gear, Let the clutch out quick and bounced the rev limiter causing the ass break lose Shame, nice cars. Hope the guy in the silver car wasn't to injured along with the car

abrupt downshift without rev matching could potentially lock up the rear tires and break the tail lose, even when downshifting into the right gear and not past redline.

Me either, the back end would want to swing around if that was the case. I'm leaning towards driver error now.

No modern transmission with synchros needs to be double clutched. Please lookup what double clutch is.
