Recommendation for a Valentine's Day Restaurant

I went to the Cloud 9 Revolving Restaurant last Valentine's so I'm hoping to go to a new place for this year's Valentine's. This year didn't give me much time to explore new restaurants so I am really at a loss on where to go.

Please recommend me some restaurants in the west end of Vancouver/Downtown.

I would recommend making some calls and seeing what you can get for a reservation... for obvious reasons, top places tend to be booked well in advance for Valentine's day.

McDonald's on Thurlow and Alberni.

Cheeseburger Happy Meal
Small fries
Small pop
Happy meal toy

Finish things up with an ice cream, apple pie, and McDonald's Valentines Day gift certificates.

Win.

Can't see how this could possibly go wrong.

Edit: If you want to drop some mad dollar bills, try The Market @ The Shangri-la across the street.

I've went to Shore Club in the past and found the food to be outstanding. However, I see that the price for this year's Valentine's set menus cost $75.00 per person, which is somewhat steep.

This year, in order to save money I have decided to cook dinner at home. I'm going to try some wagyu beef and make some crab cakes. Not sure what else to make as of yet.

I'd like to be somewhere casual, cozy, and intimate. My man took me to East is East on Broadway before (not for Valentines day), but I wouldn't mind at all going back there. It was comfortable and he sat beside me on the bench and not across from me so we got to cuddle a little too before dinner came
