*Had to clear the post of all sensitive titles because the employer in question remembered her actions and called to argue it.
employees should watch out for their actions, there's countless places online that any of your actions can be widely exposed.

She tries to squeeze every second out of your if you try to be an assistant for her. She only pays you 4 hours each day and does not allow you to do any over time work while you have to finish 15 copies of 50-page report binded and sent out within a week. The strange thing is she didn't clearify the due date form the start. And for the report, you have to start from scratch, there is no template for everything, you have to type all the contracts and agreements out and do all graphic designs from zero. While at it, she has other things for you to do like fix printers, fix her computer, and type letters, once the 4 hours is up, she asks you to go home. Yet she blames you for not meeting the deadlines for the report and dismissed me from the job right after report was out, completed with all my due diligence.
On top of everything, she has no respect for her assistant, throwing paper clips in front of your face and being rude and shouting "don't even look at me, just do your job". and call people "no brains"
Edit: For anyone who's interested, I looked up some information about Wrongfully Dismissal on CBA.org and put in my reply post below.
disclaimer : this post is merely to share the experience with a good intention so people can be beware of bad employees, and not to hurt anyone mentioned in the post.
You sound like a whinny little bitch Posted via RS Mobile
You sound like this situation seems perfectly normal to you? Do you treat your employees this way?
I think every person has the right to feel being treated equally. Especially when I couldn't talk about this at work of course and can only figure out what's right on my own time, which is the reason I posted this experience. And the that was a part of things relevant to the job that seemed irrational to me.
I just hope that there is some way to correct her actions so things like this can happen less.
If you are fired without just cause, are you supposed to get notice or severance pay?
Yes. The following sections explain the details.
How much notice? Your employment contract may say how much notice you get. If not, the contract has an implied term (oral or written) that the employer will give you reasonable notice of dismissal. Either way, an employer gives notice by telling you that your job will end on a particular date. Until that date, the employment contract continues – and so do your and your employer’s obligations under the contract.
How much notice is reasonable? It depends on several things including the type of job, how long you had it, your age, whether similar jobs are available, and your experience, training and qualifications.
You have a duty during the notice period to look for another comparable job. The employer may have a duty, during the notice period, to let you look for another job, so you won’t be unemployed when your current job ends.
A guide to how much notice and pay
The Employment Standards Act (the Act) sets the following minimum amounts for notice (or pay instead of notice) that must be given to an employee dismissed without just cause. If you have worked less than 3 months in a row, the Act does not require any notice or pay.
If you put up with that level of bullshit for longer than three days, you're a fucking moron. No job is worth that kind of aggravation.

If someone requires an assistant, it usually means their job is stressful so don't expect your boss to treat you like santa's little helper. I do not agree with the way she might treat her employees, but you have have to remember it's a job, you're paid to be here which means you can quit if you don't like it.
People change when they realize they have command over others. It's not uncommon for a boss to mistreat employees. You can either suck it up a for a pay cheque or walk away with your dignity
sounds like she is one of those "extreme chinese" to work for.
these people will make sure you work the off your ass and complain of your work no matter how well you did.
it just the way they are
dont ask me how i know
I believe you can contact the real estate board and file a complaint against realtors..
although I'm not sure exactly what they could do about it..
They'll take complaints about conduct as a realtor... I doubt they'd even want to hear about conduct as an office boss. How she treats employees has nothing to do with how she sells homes.

Hope this isn't serious lol, unless you have developed a good rapport with your employees.
If this is a serious post, it might be good to talk with your employees in a group setting and see if they are cool with your antics (workplace humour) and that they shouldn't be afraid to speak up? It might seem fun to you, but could just be another situation of workplace bullying.

To the OP, most of what you said is experienced by many who've been in the workplace long enough. Deadlines have to be met, and be prepared to be criticized if they aren't. Can't work OT, yeah; you should tell that to the staff accountants on Public Accounting Firms that put in shitloads of free time during auditing season.
The only thing you stated that was unreasonable to me was her throwing paper clips at you, telling you to "stop looking at her."
It's times like those, you just have to flip her the bird and walk out. Life's too short to work with dicks (or bitches in this case).
I don't see you having too much of a case, unless you documented all the times/days she harassed you. And if that Jason dude, co-operates with your side of the story.
Other than that, the other recourse is posting your side on ratemyemployers?
OR, put some key phrases here, so her name pops up in the top searches of Google!

That explains why there weren't any previous files or templates that her previous assistant did to work from. I found it strange that she's been a broker for years and I had to retype and redesign everything from scratch. The previous assistant probably fxxxed everything up.
She doesn't get it that there is only so much one person can do in 4 hours each day, Just right after you stress ur head off and complete the entire report, she blames you for not meeting the dead lines.

Dude, why are you looking at wrongful dismissal information? You haven't said anything about being fired...
