Doesn't mean anything.. and don't judge

I just like the look of this watch, do you have a problem?

dyan 02-19-2012 12:29 AM

You pay for the brand...

A watch is used to tell time.. you can tell time with a $10 watch or a $100,000 watch. Does the same thing.

Energy 02-19-2012 12:32 AM

This is just a fashion watch.

You are only paying for the looks and the brand name but IMHO it doesn't look that good and the brand isn't good either.

Or to put it in car terms, its a riced out civic.

El Bastardo 02-19-2012 12:32 AM

No, not worth it. Buy a Swatch.

Its a fossil watch with a Michael Kors badge. so no.. its not worth $300.

DavidNguyen 02-19-2012 02:45 AM

300 does seem a lil steep for that kind of watch.
but when u try it on. if you feel great. buy it.

It is about class, you LB.

So according to you, class is a matter of how much one is willing to shell out for a watch?

If thats the case, Li Ka-Shing's (primary shareholder of Concord Pacific) legendary plastic watches and cheap suits shows he has no class.

OP: I think you should get the watch if you like it, who cares whether it's judged "worthy" by others or not.

F30 02-19-2012 06:14 AM

If you are looking for a good combo on brand & looks, then get an Omega Seamster, I picked one up a few months ago and love it.

The watch you are showing looks cheap (IMO). There is nothing wrong with cheap watches, but if you do have the R8 and dress well, that watch will look like a pair of Walmart sneakers on a guy in an expensive suit.

ethano 02-19-2012 10:30 AM

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I think I'll pass on this one and save up for something good.

No class is about how fashionable you can make it to be regardless of price

i have my eye set on a MK watch, w/e as long as you like it and think you can swing it then yea buy it.

not a lot of things are "worth" buying at this price range imo.

Energy 02-19-2012 05:53 PM

People generally buy fashion watches because they think it looks good and they want the bling and attention.

But really, what kind of attention are you going to get with a MK watch? They are not known for making watches, have no history, and no prestige at all. Would you buy a true religion watch???

At this price point a nice Seiko will go a long way.

There's a whole watch thread..

And yes, like Energy said, MK watches are just rebranded Fossils.
So you're just paying for the name stamped on it.

For that price range I'd look into Citizens and Seikos.. but in the end, if you really like it, just buy it.

Renxo 02-19-2012 09:02 PM

lol micheal koorrrsss fossil watch... It's a riced out integra, not a civic get it right!

instantneedles 02-19-2012 11:13 PM

What use is a watch to tell time when you can't even tell that there is a watch thread? "Watch" closely.

FAIL

I'm sorry but the watch thread you're referring to is actually called "What kind of watches do you have?". I am specifically asking for opinions on this MK watch.

Michael Kors is a great brand and they have some great pieces. However..their watches are not worth it. I'd say spend your money on a reputable brand that specializes in watches
