I would suggest against getting grey market bikes. When/if you need parts and/or service - you are screwed.

I asked the sellers about this and they said it's pretty easy to find non-cosmetic parts. That being said, are CBR600 f2/f3s grey bikes?

I think only the newer bikes are fuel-injected, no? My scooter was fuel-injected too. Are carbs really, really bad or are they tolerable?

most of the sport bikes didn't switch to EFI until early 2000's. carbs are a little less efficient, and a little more finicky. they don't adapt to major environment changes as well as EFI. (like altitude or humidity)

Ah, I see. I wonder why the newer Ninja 250s didn't change to EFI in the early 2000s. The CBR250 is EFI and in the lower insurance bracket. I'd pick that over the ninja 250 but there aren't that many available on craigslist.

just wondering, is there a diff between regular CBR600 F2/F3's and Smokin' Joe editions? or are they all the same but diff fairings

OH! Smokin Joe! I was looking at one too but it got sold I'm also looking at a 1993 CBR 600 F2 but the engine was swapped. I wonder if the original one died or something. Should I stay away from that bike? It's so nice looking. I actually prefer older looking bikes ...

I'm not sure if it's a "group test" though. I'm guessing it's one examiner bringing one rider out at a time. If the examiner is observing three riders,
he/she might miss a mistake or something but I agree that group tests sound easier :P | You probably won't be able to book a road test that soon after at this time of year. Remember, there are still the other students from classes before you that are booking their road tests.

OMG just got back like 30 mins ago, did first ride in the lot and it was a blast. learnt soooo much from just one day god dam. i also might be reconsidering my 600cc choice, lets see how well i improve by the end of the course. excited for part 2 tomo
i would recommend this course to everyone who wants to get into riding, best 800$ ive ever spent

There isn't a lot of choice in the area without having to go far, given the lack of time you will have. I highly suggest you bring a snack or pack your dinner given that you are taking evening classes.
