Your favorite seafood restaurants

Been feeling for seafood lately and wanted to see what everyone's favorite places are and what you enjoy or must order when you're there.

also rate the restaurants on the following out of 10:

Ambiance (such as nice view of water when dining?)
Service

I'm on a seafood diet ATM.... All the food I see... I eat!!!

On a more serious note you can't go wrong with Bluewater cafe if budget is not a huge concern... Raincity grill Is pretty good and has a decent view

I dont eat a lot of seafood specific restaurants, but i would say avoid The Boathouse. I found the menu lackluster and was over priced for what you get..

Imo the best seafood iv had was made in my kitchen.

Boathouse is just great for their patio. The food itself is not fantastic, but it's above average.

I LOVE the Bluewater Cafe too but it's pricey, also the Boathouses, I actually like the one in Port Moody a lot (added bonus, it's Lobsterfest atm).

On a side note, if you feel like a drive, we were down in Seattle and went to the Crab Pot last week. It was SOOOOO fun. They grill up your food, put butchers paper on the table and pour the food in the middle of the table then hand everyone a mallet. If you want sea food but don't want something pretentious it's totally worth checking out.

Went to the boathouse last night because I live in Surrey and I don't have many options. Beyond livid they were out of oysters and thats the whole reason why I went there.... Avoid it if you can.

Thanks for all the input guys. I heard great stuff about Bluewater and is on my list since I haven't tried it yet. As well, friends were told me about Crab Pot as well, def will try when I get a chance to go down there.

Who do you guys think has the better seafood tower? I've only had the one at Coast so far.

Btw, how's Monk McQueens?

Crab pot is a major tourist trap. Quality of seafood is below average IMO.
Joe fortes and Provence marinaside for me.

Oh and can't forget the sequoia group--sandbar and carderos!

Rodney's Oyster House. Super chill vibe, and girls always say the waiters there are hot.

I agree with votes for Bluewater cafe. I've only been there once and that was take my dad out for his birthday. Their uni was the freshest I've ever had. Unfortunately, I can't afford to eat there unless it's for a special occasion

Nothing fancy compared to what you guys have listed but for some casual seafood fare in East Vancouver, my top pick goes to The Pink Peppercorn.

Sorry for my newb question but I saw in the other thread about pink peppercorn and the lobster oil is special from the Cannery. Do they give you a small dish of it to compliment your dish or how is it served as? Never went to Cannery before it closed down.

Edit: n/m, I searched up their website.

Bluewater +1 for white restaurant seafood.

Personally I like Chinese style crab/lobster and steamed rock cod the best. When I visit HK steamed cod is a must for every dinner.

Other than that, I'd say the most seafood I order would be from a sushi restuarant.

Spot prawns season in a month! Can't wait to peel 2-3 lbs myself.

You probably found the answer already but they give you a small dish to dip your bread with.

Went to this place right by Bellis Fair in the states today called super buffet. Pretty good deal, was mainly all seafood. Sashimi, raw oysters, crab legs, sushi, frog legs, crayfish etc. Really good for a $13 dinner
