Help: Fuel Problem?

Hey guys, So i just had a question for you mechanicly gifted out there. I have a 1992 mazda mx3 1.8l V6. The other day i drove it down the street, parked, left it running while i grabbed something at my buddies house, drove away and the engine and car stopped. I tried to start it again and it turned over but to an extremely low idle and was not getting any fuel. I then turned it off, pushed it to my buddies house. Once there, the car wouldnt turn over at all, sounds like it wants to but just wont do it. I got a test light and started testing relays and fuses and everything seem to check fine. I turned the aux on but couldnt hear my fuel pump engage. I ended up taking out the fuel pump and bypassing it with a battery to check to see if it works, and it does. I put the fuel pump back in then hooked up some hoses to the ingoing and outgoing ports of the fuel pump to see if when i try to turn it over, I have fuel going to and from the pump, and I do, so I ruled out the fuel pump. I have power going to the fuel pump when I tested the connectors as well. I doubt this is a fuel filter problem as I dont think the car would just quit like it did. I also checked the distributor and it seems to be fine. Could this be a fuel pressure problem? Or a Electrical problem? I am going to try to get some error codes tonight. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

It was running at a real low rpm and then turning over real slow and now wont turn over at all? Check your oil level. Fuel has nothing to do with the engine turning over.

I know nothing about that car in particular, but here's some suggestions:
1) check for spark while cranking. If you have spark it likely means your ignition and electrical is good. If no spark, suspect the following: coil packs, ign transistors, cam sensor, crank sensor, ECU
2) Good spark, but not running well: suspect MAF sensor (if it has one, otherwise MAP or equivalent sensor), intake air temperature (may be part of MAF), coolant temp sensor. (All can be used by the ECU for airflow calculations)
3) Electrical grounding check battery grounds, make sure a ground strap didn't corrode through and come off.
4) Alternator / battery. Is the battery holding a change? Is the alternator keeping the battery charged?

Oil levels are completely fine. I just did a oil change since it hasnt been working and its not that. I opened up the diagnostic port in my engine bay and shorted the 10 port so my check engine light would blink the error codes. (something i didnt know about but should have done way before). The codes given were: Air Intake Control Valve and Crank Angle Sensor. I have ordered those parts and hopefully it will fix the problem. I always thought it could be something fuel related and thought a fuel pressure regulator may have crapped out which would cause it not to turn.

t2- I do have a spark. Sparks completely fine. I have checked all the grounding on the battery and it seems fine. Alternator is good aswell, keeping the battery charged all the time.

I will try these new parts and if it doesnt work, I will post again. Thank you both!

So the engine is flooded from how many times I have tried to fire it up this past week. Left the plugs out and it seems to be better. I have replaced the distributor, AIC valve, crank angle sensor, did an oil change, cleaned the air filter, bought new spark plugs, tested the fuel pump, tested the fuses, tested the connectors to the fuel pump. I am running out of ideas.
